Eomo, glad you had a great night out and "let loose"

I'm going clubbing on saturday with some climbing buddies. I asked Frog if he wanted to come too as he's been such a good boy.
I plan to indulge and dance my tiny titties off. Bought a sexy top, need to buy a skany miniskirt, bt cant find one. Damn winter!

Caithi, maybe Mark should go see the psych Frog is seeing. Did you have issues and fights before Anais popped along?

CanI be president of the gay March mummies? So many sexy girls in her :)

Sarah, all tose wedding photos look great, 3 gorgeous girls in your family.

Shezi.. so your DP isn't letting you go out NYE? We can';t have that!

Welcome back Firsttime.

Annsam, well done for being strong with the dummy, maybe a few sleepless ights coming up but will probaby be worth it in a week or two.

Taking toadlet for a swim again today, we went Saturday too.

Anyone started their baby on solids? I called my dad and asked him and he said it would be ok to start him with the meat foods so they dont develop a sweet tooth. He's consistantly guzzling 250 mls and still wanting more every feed.

Busy day today and late night working, New financial year so have to update my t@x an st@mp duty calculator.

Hey girls

Shezi - Yay for D wearing knickers! You'll have to post a pic :) Bugger Chris just cos your a mum doesn't mean you don't wanna go out.

I am going out next Saturday night for my sis's 21st. DH & I were fighting last night cos i was so tired being up all night with Ella teething. Anyhoo I want a night out with both of us to relax together & have fun but he is saying he doesn't wanna go cos he never gets into clubs & he hates the Valley. I want him to come & mum watch Ella. I'll work on him this week :)

I will have to buy some cheapy boots or going out shoes from Payless or something cos my f**k me boots are broken & no good shoes plus I'll need to get a nice dressy jumper or something. And get my man-o-brows done!

Lana - I am going to invest in bonjella soon, i think they can't have it til 4 months ... which is only in like 2 weeks!! OMG!! She had panadol yesterday. Glad ya had a good night out! I am going to have cocktails next week!

Ella's screaming at her toys cos not talking back. She screams now to get attention it's so funny. Prob is it's sometimes hard to know when she is genuinly upset or just exercising her lungs!

Anna - Poor you I hope you got a nap in there between all the dogs barking! Glad i don't sound like a crazy girl too & other ppl believe in that sor tof thing.

LL - Still haven't done nappy free time ... Must do that. She luvs being naked on the changetable & before the shower/bath. She has a new trick - putting her legs down & pushing herself up so her back is arched & tummy pokes out. It makes it hard to change her cos she moves her way out of her nappy!

FirstTime - Welcome back! Haven't seen you for a while ... how bizzare about the hotel!!

Caithi - Gonna look at your pics soon. I hope you are okay hun. Big hugs to you & Nai Nai. Must be something in the air. I had massive fights with dh last night even tho i was looking fwd to him coming home! I just need a break veyr badly. I have threatened leaving a number of times. Never happens & I don't want it to though iykwim. Plus dh doesn't like to talk to me anymore. Like d&m talking. I am going insane.

Anna - I couldn't help but laugh at Sam playing cars at 3am in the streetlight! We are in a smal 'court' street with 4 houses & we are on the top of the hill. The house 2 doors down has this big white light & he uses it to work on his boat or whatever in the middle of the friggin night & it is like bloody daylight in our room! I think he usually works odd hours as usually comes home at like 4am. Last night the house next door to him had a bright yellow outdoor light on all night. Not happy jan.

Caithi - OMG hun I just read your next post! Are you really leaving? I'd make him leave as you don't wanna upheave Anais from her home. (& her gorgeous nursery lol). Ha just read Shezi say the same thing! 2 great minds think alike hey.

LT - I need you to take me shopping! Although I think I'll stick to my straight/skinny jeans & boots as I so don't have your sexy legs lol. Stamp duty calculators ... aaahh brings back happy memories ... not! Lol. I was sick of the site of them!

Ok well i should go do some scrapping as mum is coming over wed & I need to have the pics I took done by then. Hopefully don't have scrapper's block. Mum did 7 pages yesterday!! I am gonna do a Hanson collage page cos it's so embarrassing but we loved them so much. I even wrote Taylor a stupid poem lol. My walls were so covered you couldn't see any wall left! PITA taking them down & cleaning tape & blue tack off though lol.

Oh & my SIL has inspired me as she has lost over 5kg. Went for a walk with her, my niece & ella in prams, yesterday afternoon then today I don't have car but I am walking to her house, meeting her half way at the park & dh will come when finished work. He's gonna pick the fish up (he caught bream & whiting over the w/e) & come over there & cook us girls dinner. BIL doesn't eat fish but loves fishing lol. Jade used to have to even bait his hooK! HAHA. Great weather we're having here!

Oh one more thing - MIL is such a dumb ar$e - yesterday Ella wouldn't settle & she had panadol & screaming & hot so decided to feed her earlier than due & she asked if she could hold her while i made the bottle. I said well actually it'd be great if she could make E's bottle. I showed her how to use the dispenser & when she shook the bottle she had taken the lid off & so that wasn't on nor did she hold a finger over it so formula went all over SIL's kitchen!!! OMG how friggin stupid can ya get?! She wanted to heat it up in hot water & I had to say like 5 times no i just microwave especially cos Ella was all worked up. She's like 'are u sure??' Duh. I had to tell her to loosen the teat & then stop & shake & test etc etc ... omg. never again.

SORRY AGAIN!!! - u know what for lol.

HAHA my grandpa is visiting you too! LOL. Freaky hey?!

Anna forgot to say I have ot get up every hour from about 1-2am onwards for E's dummy & so over it. Last night tho I fed her at 12.45am cos her last bottle was at 4pm before she went out like a light & she slept til 5.30! Don't know what to do ... hold her out for bottle with dummy or feed her.

lt - i was going to ask about the food thing too as some bubs are over 4 mths now. think i will wait till 5 months as i loath feeding babies when they are first learning to eat but on the other hand it may improve sleep..... hmmm tough one.

carrie, sounds like feeding went well. experiment. do you dreamfeed? you may find that helps too.

leah and i have been battling a bit this morn. think shes going to have a wee temper on her..... just like her mummy:D both stubborn as hell.

ad, freaky!

note to self - no feeding while typing as leah cant focus on food andwhat i am typing. lol.

Caithi :hugs: sorry to hear Mark is being such a tosser. who needs that cr@p when you're already tired etc from being a mummy? stupid men, maybe we should all become lesbians? hehe...

actually i have to say Al has been great lately, we had a really rough time with Harper sat night and sunday and he hardly ever got frustrated. good hubby hahaha...

i'm not convinced H's bad night and day was teething after all. coz he was really snotty as well. Al ended up putting pillows under one end of the cot mattress so H wasnt drowning in his snot and he slept so much better. of course the fact that he barely slept between 1am and 11pm helped!! poor kid had huge bags under his eyes!

ok washing to fold and little man asking to get out of bed now so i'll be back later

Hey Guys

Im just wondering if I can join? I started posting in the beginning of the 'Due in March Thread' but my computer blew up, I've just gotten a new one. I've been reading so I thought I might aswell post.

I've been reading a book called 'save our sleep' which has helped me get rid of O's dummy and he has been sleeping from 7pm to 7am with a dreamfeed at 10.30pm. Like you Annsam I was geeting up 7 to 8 times a night to stick the dummy back in it was driving me bonkers!!! Anyways the book has some great tips about getting baby's to learn to self settle themselves without any aids (i.e dummy, rocking), so if they wake up in the middle of the night they can put themselves back to sleep. It also helps them to have longer naps during the day! So if you want me to post up what she says let me know!

OMG My Dh is driving me nuts aswell!!:banghead:

I look forward to getting to know you guys. It's great having other mums to talk to you that are in the same situation! especially when mothers group is cr*p, it's a long story but basically I got abused over the phone by the Community Nurse for missing the first 2 WTF??? Needless to say I'm not going back!

hi Sunflower and welcome to the march mums group :)

i would also like the save our sleep info. H is a pretty good sleeper but we currently rock him to sleep and i want to start breaking that habit. he also wakes a couple of times in the night just for a pat/turn on muscial thingo/dummy.

thanks!!

Hi Sunflower, welcome.

Annsam.. i second that with the Save our sleep book.
I read it before toadlet popped out and he self settles (although he's having a nicve rant now, most likely hungry cause he only drank 210 mls ... fatty.
I dont worry about following the routines though in the SOS book, tried it when he was 6 weeks but he couldnt go four hours between a day feed, still doesnt.

Carrie, get yourself a mega heavy pram like and Emmuljunga and push it up hill! Works great.

Got to be good and not pig out o KFC chips and bliss icecream this week. leg squats each night and lots of water.

Morning!

caithi - :hugs: re Mark. I was going to suggest the same thing as Anna, maybe HE is depressed. Quite often the men can fell worthless when a new baby comes along because they dont get as much attention etc and sometimes they will begin to resent the situation. Hope you guys are able to sort it out. OH and what IS that pic of?? Is it of the clouds? Looks like a womans face with flowing hair too.

Anna - Man i hope Leah starts to sleep. Must be really frustrating and very tiring for you!

LT - have a good time when you go out! I had a blast! Sounds like we have very different styles of dress though lol! I wore black leggings with a 3/4 psychadelic sort of top lol and calf length black boots! (i did have a nice cleavage on show though!) Had to try and look nice AND stay warm!

Sunflower - Hi!!Welcome back! I remember your posts in the beginning of the 'Due in march" thread!

LL - Aww poor Harper! I hope he is feeling better soon!

I finally got out my pure vitam E oil last night and rubbed some into Griff's cradle cap. Then i got out the fine tooth comb and very gently starting combing his hair. The majority of it is gone now with only a little bit on his fontanelle left. The good thing is that because the vit E oil is natural i didnt have to wash it off, it soaked in like moisturiser.

Still really crappy weather here. I had to go out yesterday and Canning hwy was sooo flooded! Could hardly see anything! Sam was in his 4x4 in front of me and while most of us were trying tododge the puddles, he was purposely driving through them! He loves having a 4 wheel drive!

Also last night i got into trouble off a flimsy gay guy.

I was waiting for my tai take away and two gay boys (both very feeble looking) were sitting there puffing away on their cigarettes. One of them chucked their still lit cigarette onto the pavement so I told him "Excuse me, did you kniow that's a $200 FINE FOR DOING THAT? pLUS IT'S DISGUSTING".

he darted across and picked it up. Just as I was leaving, is friendtold me off and said , "Thats very dangerous of you to do that, especially with your baby (Monty was in the backpack) .. People could take offense".

My reply. Well they should take offense for being so filthy and not looking after the planet".. "Plus, neither of you hardly look threatening".

Avenger Toad!!

I took Monty for a swim swims and there were 4 young girls (9 - 12 years old) gooing and gaaing over him. I let them hold him while he floated. One of the girls didn't quite manage to hld him above water, well his head anyway, his fat body was still bouyant. He was under for about 3 seconds and didn't even grizzle@!! (Frog said , well you coldn't hear him grizzle under the water).

Frog is in Melbourne for a few days on holiday, The other day he said , maybe if my Bzzz takes me back we should get married "

Silly frog. He's never been big on marriage with one failed married and neither of us religious. He said not that he took me for granted but things have made him appreciate what he actually had.

LL.. hate to debunk your ghost theory, but your mobile is probably in the on position already, they turn themselves off after 15 minutes but are then re activaed with movement.

AquaDevil78
02-07-2007, 14:45
Err that was me LT not LL with the Ghost Theory, and nope, it was off, i turned it off.(As it ****s me when it goes off after 10 mins and then if the slightest noise sets it off it wakes up bubs) So it only goes off and on with noise, when i turn it on. If that ramble makes sense LOL.

Elmo, scraping the cradle cap of with your fingernail works good too! O has some on his fontanelle aswell, I'm a bit scared to try and get it off don't want to damage it.

Ok to Save our Sleep, like LT said it has routine's in it to follow, but they are very strict and require you to wake up your baby. which I don't believe is right, why wake a sleeping baby.. I say! However I've been following her bedtime rituals and feeding him at the times she suggests which is
7am
11am
3pm
Bath at 5.30pm,
Feed 6.30pm
Bed 7pm
Dreamfeed 10.30pm
O is bottlefed but this routine is for Breastfeed babies aswell (if you don't feed on demand)

O is still getting used to self settling I've been doing it for a week now, It's been a pretty tough week. I've contemplated giving him the dummy a few times(Lucky I cut them up and threw them all in the bin!)Anyways here's what she says about self settling:

Make sure your baby is well winded, fed and changed, wrap your baby and put into bed . Allow him to shout or protest cry for a minimum of 8 minutes, once this time is up and you decide to go in ( The longer you can stay out the better), gently move your baby onto it’s side and gently rub or pat the baby’s back. If after 22min your baby is not asleep and you need a break, get him up for a 10min break than start again. If you feel like you can continue keep going. Once you go into to help your baby to settle you must stay with him till he goes to sleep.

When your baby finally goes to sleep he may wake again after 1 sleep cycle, don’t let this upset you : focus instead on the fact that your baby went to sleep in the first place. Don’t expect your baby to resettle until he learns to resettle with little or no fuss in the first place. If your baby wakes after one sleep cycle during the day get him up and praise him for going to sleep . If he needs more sleep go for a walk or a drive to encourage your baby to sleep more in the recommended sleep time until he has learnt to resettle.

The cry of a baby going to sleep has gaps and the tone will vary eg, waa pause waaaa waaa pause. You should hear the pauses getting longer as your baby starts to fall asleep. The cry of a baby upset is continuous with no pauses and doesn’t vary in pitch or tone eg waa waa waa waa. Don’t ignore get the baby up and look for a problem, if there doesn’t seem to be one offer more milk.

It is important to remember that a protest cry is inevitable when teaching a baby to self settle and doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong. It is important to understand the difference between a protest cry and an emotional cry . If it is an emotional cry there will be tears and hear sobbing, you should comfort an emotional baby straight away.

She also has a website don't know if i am allowed to write it but it's under save our sleep

if you have any questions about it just ask!

sunflower
02-07-2007, 15:15
Also forgot to add, if the pauses last 5 seconds or more you start timing again.

The first night O took 40 minutes to fall asleep this is slowly getting less with the average time taking 10 mins. During his day sleeps he is hardly protesting at all! It's alot of work but it's worth getting rid of the dummy I feel half normal again with the full night sleeps I have been getting!

Hey mummas!
Havent caught up yet.
**** sleep for effing weeks now...
CHN says i have to settle her at night rather than feed. She can feed say twice in the night but other than that i need to settle her. She has been feeding about 4 times and then in bed with me where she goes on and off for the last twp hrs of morning.
Ok, going back to catch up now.

Sunflower - Lol if i had nails i would use them but i bite them (yuk i know!) Also, with the oil it makes the cradle cap nice and soft anyway so the comb doesnt hurt, it actually really enjoyed it!

LT - Good on you for telling those filthy people off!

Griff is really starting to play with his toys on his rocker now. He holds it in one hand while touching it with the other.

Amity is cooking dinner for her cabbage patch doll at the moment. According to her, he has already done a poo, been tired and had a sleep and is now eating some cooked apple and some cheese!

welcome back sunflower.

just a quickie from me.. need to go have a shower..

hmm possibly a married toad on our hands eh! hehe. its great that everything is going so well for you and frog!

omgosh that feeding schedule wouldnt work in my house.. not unless i wanted a crying bub all day long. each to their own.. never quite understood the whole '4 hourly' thing.. maybe coz my girls fed so often ive taken this as the 'norm' well for me anyway.

i think its great that the schedule works for some bubs tho.

wouldnt work here! occasionally he'll go 4 hours between "brekkie" and "morning tea" but usually 3. and from about 3/4pm, its more like 2-2.5 hours...

michaela.. when my mum had my sis it was all 'wait 4hours' so my mum doing as she was told would wait and let the poor bub cry coz it was the thing to do.. even in hospital when you had bub they would bring her to my mum 4hourly.. thats it.. anyway she didnt last long and went with the flow. thankfully!
maybe this is why my girls are chubba bubbas.. i have something in my head saying to feed feed feed.

remember how i said about my brothers ex's new bub(not his) broke her arm in her cot? well i talked to her and she ended up having someone over to inspect the cot and it was faulty!! now i feel so bad for thinking how i did. and to think her aunty was talking it up to us. she had docs or whatever they're called over and checked everything out.. house.. area.. them.. everything is fine. oh and supposedly she was standing in her cot and put her arm through the bar and fell.. she break was on an angle that explained it.. im just so grateful she is ok and my brothers ex seems to be doing well. after all they have a 7yr old together and that little man deserves the best.

been checking out the toy sales.. planning on getting M the baby bjorn side by side double pram & high chair and also a dora laptop.. and a few little things for her bday.. but i have no ideas for D! i feel terrible!! but really what can i buy her? everything of M's from that age is it great shape..

lana is there any toy that amity loves? my last resort is buying D a bike.. but she's so little i doubt her feet will reach the pedals  she would love it tho..

and even thinking of toys for all 3 at christmas does my head in. i was going with the cubby but now not so sure. 6months seems like ages away but its not.

Lol Amity has that purple Dora laptop and LOVES it!! She got it for her 2nd birthday. As for stuff she loves, i am almost out of ideas too! I am buying her one of those 25cm trikes (page 56 in the Big W toy catalogue). I know she cant co-ordinate the pedals just yet but she will learn and she can always use her feet for now. Plus there is a foot plate at the back of it that she could stand on.

I already have part of her xmas pressie. I bought her a dolls house and just need to get the furniture now.

oh yeah that was what the girls were fighting over hey? does it do like letters and stuff or is it for older kids playing games? im after one that will be helping with letters as M loves to write her name with the keyboard.. she does it perfect every time. yet give her a pen and paper and she only does Mika haha. too cute.

havent even seen the bigW catalogue!! geez im missing out.. will go searching now. thanx :D

hmm maybe the bike is the way to go for D then..

ETA.. is the bigW catalogue not available online? i think the people who deliver catalogues in this area skip our street.. or when we do get them its the day after the sales started

Lol yep thats the one!! It does everything! It has letters, numbers AND games for the older ones. When they push a letter it will say "A is for Apple" and show the letter on the screen. Amity will sit there for ages just pushing the letters and copying what they say.

As for the Big W catalogue, it is more like a bl00dy book!! It is 123 pages long!! and looks more like a magazine etc. Maybe phone your nearest Big W store and ask them to either email you a copy or post one out to you. Im sure they wont mind.

Shezi, A is a chubby chubster! Very squishy and cute. Glad the excema is clearing up. Its awful to have when you are a kid/baby.

Ok, so I take it from all the threads on bbhub that all the toy stores are having sales?

Not sure I can be that enthusiastic about going to buy toys.
I thought I might start buying toadlet a really nice collectors train set. One peice for each birthday and christmas.

Got a video of toadlet smiling in the bath with daddy (www.bizztools.net/misc/bathtimesmiles.html), trying to ignore the fact he has one hand on is little fella (toadlet not Frog). Perhaps he's starting early

And a video of toadlet giving himself whiplash (http://www.bizztools.net/misc/jj_week16.html) in the JJ.

Ive been working in the evening after toadlet goes to sleep till just after midnight. Productive but I'm feeling tired.

Annsam it has been pretty hard, you have to be really committed if you want to give up the dummy and if your really knackered, right now is probably not a good time. If I had a dummy in the house this morning I probably would of given it to O, he cried for an hour definetly not like him I don't know what was wrong.

Shezi A is beautiful!! i wish I had a chubby baby!

LT oh my God I cracked up when I saw Monty in the JJ!! He is so good at it!!O loves he's JJ but he hasn't worked out how to use it yet he just spins around in it!

He knows I hate leather etc (vegan) and he does **** like that to p$ss me off! - let me explain - we were just talking about getting a new lounge and mark said he wanted leather, I said no to that but can we get a fake leather instead? Frank said - ( AS IF ITS ANY OF HIS BUSINESS ) why dont you want a leather lounge, they are the best blah blah blah - I said because it would be hypocritical of me to do that. Then days later he buys the leather jacket.

He just doesnt care - Marks priorities are his family, anais, 1000 other things, then me.

How long do your bubs sleep in-between feeds during the day?

I asked him and he said "its you that needs to see somone!" nice

yup.. he's got issues.

I'm sure if you do decide to go it alone with Anais things will be ok. I think we surprise ourselves with how capable actually are by ourselves.

How long do your bubs sleep in-between feeds during the day?

In the morning he normally has a nap for about an hour ish., Afternoon he has a lobnger sleep 2 - 3 hours.
Then another nap before the night time feed.

umm i prob get 1 to 2 hours out of A every day but not in one block either.. she's a shocker. will sleep if being held but that aint gonna happen! i usually let her sleep on me when the girls have their lunch sleep... so she'll go for an hour then.

she does sleep in the car/pram tho. just doesnt like the house i guess haha

Hey girls,

Caithi, sounds like hes got some real issues at the moment. Any idea what they are? As for the leather thing - thats really rubbing salt isn't it.

Sleeping between feeds..........ummm......... varies from one day to the next. 40 minutes - 1 hr before waking for a dummy. Sometimes can get her back for another 30 mins. She feeds about 3 hrly.

LT, doesn't toadlet love his JJ!!! Wow, Ive never seen a baby go like that before. Glad things are looking good with Frog too.

Sunflower, yeah you do have to be committed to loosing the dummy. We did it with DS ok at 10 weeks but this time we are just exhausted and the motivation doesn't last long. When our visitors leave its going. She has a weeks reprieve.

I too couldn't do that routine. Not with a toddler. I think it would be fine for bottle fed babes (or some), Sam fed every 4 hrs but Leah being breastfed rarely goes that long (perhaps thats why shes getting chubby:p ).

Nothing new here. Went for a meet up with my old playgroup. It was good. Sam played hide-and-seek for the first time ever. Its so neat to see them make friends of their own and play games together.

Family arrive tomorrow so probably wont be on much over the next week so have a great week girls.

Caithi i hope that Mark is able to realise that he has issues that need to be sorted out too.

Re sleep - Griff generally sleeps around the same time every day. He sleeps for about 1.5 hours at 10am then has a play and is back in bed at about 2pm for 2 - 3 hours.

Im off to dinner tonight with a bunch of girls from my mums group. Should be fun!

How long do your bubs sleep in-between feeds during the day?
Harper usually goes to sleep an hour after a feed for 40-60 mins. in the arvo/evening, he doesnt sleep after every feed coz his feeds are much closer together. also i try to keep him awake from about 5pm so he will sleep better at night... :D

poor kid still really snotty, didnt go down til midnight last night (stayed asleep til 5 tho so better than my usual 2.30 wake-up!). been using the nasal drops on him but he sounds blocked up higher up his nose. he had a hot shower with Al this morning and heaps of snot came running out of his nose so i will try that again tonight to clear him out a bit. poor bubba...

Hollie - LOVE the jj video, he is going OFF! we were given a jj but not the thing to attach it so its useless... my cousin is going to give me hers soon tho.

Hey all, I'm returned from my sick-bed! After feeling cruddy early last week it turned in to full on gastro so I've been out of it since then.

Shezi, I've got to eat my words, it was so nice to go spend a few days at my parents when I was sick, and have them help entertain Kes during the day, so yeah, I see why you don't want to move! :o
Love the pic of A, but the poor munchkin looks very itchy, has the cream helped?

Caithi- :hugs: I hope you're doing OK, that sounds like a horrible time you're going through.
Anais is such a little sweetheart! Can't believe she's standing, LOL, DH will be in a huff when he hears, as Kes is doing little stands while leaning on his chest (while DH sits at his desk) and he was determined to have the first walker! ;)
As for sleeps, Kes tries not to sleep during the day (except on a long walk in the pram or something), the MCHN suggested lying down to nap with him as he sleeps that way, then every second day only lie down for a bit then leave him there, to see if I can convince him naps are fun, LOL...
He does sleep well at night though, it is so sweet to see him when I lie him on the bed, he pulls his little arms and legs up and gets all excited, then as soon as I lie down he opens his mouth and closes his eyes. Sleeps soundly after that.
I noticed this morning that I'd forgotten to plug his nightlight in the last 2 nights. I usually use it to see him for his night feed, so I'm wondering if he has dropped a feed as I haven't woken to find it dark... he does eat a lot when he wakes at 8ish.

Hi Sunflower!

LL-poor Harper, hope the shower sorts him out tonight so he can get a better sleep! The curry-fest sounds great, good to hear you had a nice birthday!

Sarah-DH showed me your comment about my hair, thank you! It made my day when he told me. (I was having him keep me up to date for a couple of days, then you all out-chatted him! LOL)
I hope you're doing alrighty, how are the Christening plans going?

Anna-Sounds like your little Miss may have quite a personality on her! Ah the joys of girls eh?

LT-great to hear that Frog is getting himself sorted, it would be wonderful for you 3 if he can!

If I've missed any major news can someone give me a heads up?

Cheers XXX

Hi all

I am officially on the hunt for a new pram - I have been having trouble with mine as far as the front wheel blowing out, going flat, not receiving a new one as yet, the front tyre frame wobbling heaps & going psycho & now the lock to lock the front wheel in is jamming. I am taking it back to TRU tomorrow & hoping I will get my money back. I will use the money ($200) to go towards a better pram. I am looking at the BG website now & leaning towards the black P&T Sports pram. Can you please advise me of any other good brand prams & can you recommend any from you yourselves using them? I like the Quinny 3 wheeler one too but only from 6mths + so no good. It has to recline.

Will read posts & reply now.

Thanks heaps

BG hope your feeling better hun :hugs:

Carrie I have no idea about prams, I have a cheapo one. I want to up grad too.

Got some bad news just before, I mum rang me to tell us my nanna has just passed away :crying: . I'm so lucky she got to see Cooper before she died.

03-07-2007, 20:32
Emma, sad news abotu your Nanna. Will you go to the funeral?

Carrie, I didn't like the Phil and teds cause it only really has two positions. Flat out and slightly not flat out and fully upright.

The Emmalunga has about 4 positions. I should get my new one in 3 weeks . YEAH!

Ok.. question about why babies can only lay fully reclined before six months in a pram.?
They seam to be ok sitting in the Bumbo seat, and in he's ok in my backpack.

I have the pram on the next incline so he's about 30 degrees to parralel. is this bad?

Carrie, I have an idea for your weight loss / fitmess. Get a backpack. I've been taking toadlet for long walks(about an hour + ) each night and we both love it. great exercise walking up lots of steps and hills.
Plus they get fresh air and exploring time.

he has't grizzled once while he's been in it. I have a little neck support for when he falls asleep and he can lean on it and not get a sore neck.

Enrolling toadlet in swimming classes tonorrow. Stupid though cause i have to go to the pool at 8 oclock in the morning.

Why can't they do over the phone registration?

Weloome back to life BG!
How are you going with the MCN items? I have finished one, also made the exact same one for toadlet cause i love it so much.

Massive amounts of work to do :( Frog gets back from Melbourne tomorrow so he can take care of toadlet while I do work... he can also clean the house! He's very good at doing that.

Ok replies:

Anna - Last night & tonight I have done dreamfeeds again but instead of picking her up for it I have done it while she is asleep in her cot. Tonight I did it cos her last bottle was at 3.45pm before we went for a walk & to get formula & she went in her cot clothes & all as she was sound asleep from a massive day out - Kindermusik, Mother's Group & a walk. Poor thing. Hope she sleeps well! I'm buggered too!

Sunflower - Welcome! OMG I am so so so interested in what this book said as I am going mental sticking the stupid dummy in 7-8 times a night as well. What a stupid nurse lol. I wouldn't go back either.

LT - Ella goes 3 hours between feeds but it's pretty routine every day. Obviously things change but it works for us but I'm not strict or anything. Yesterday E only drank 80ml of her 10-10.30am bottle then actually went 4 hours then drank 300ml!! KFC - I'm having that tomorrow! Lol. SO much for all my walking! Go LT! Glad you stood up to those gay guys! Can hardly imagine them being threatening either lol. So things are improving with Frog then with him talking marriage? I take it you are Bzz? I like the idea of the collector trains too!

Sunflower - Just read your next post. That is pretty much Ella's routine except I found bathing her in the mornings (before her 7.30-8.30am feed) has helped her be more settled & sleep between feeds again (she stopped this) & I jus give her a shower with dh at night before bottle & bed so no stimuli. (sp?). Ella self-settles, I always have put her down awake & she eventually sleeps but doesn't cry usually unless she drops dummy. I might try dream feed her again after this post & see if she goes through! Thanks!

Lana - Yay for Griff! Ella is playing with toys on her swing & bouncer & hanging ones on playmat too. It's funny to watch hey. Does he get cranky at them?

Shezi - Yes as I said before E doesn't go 4 hours but we have our own routine that works for us. It's just the getting up for dummy in the middle of the night that is getting to me. LIke I said I am gonna try another dream feed when done this! Fingers crossed!! M's toys sound great. I am getting E a small outdoor set, plastic one with little slide etc like a small cubby thingy iykwim. I really love Butterscotch!!! That real pony but it's like $400! My niece got her bike for christmas last yr & she would've been ... 20 months. She luvs it.

HAHA Caithi Gay March Mummies ... Love it!

Caithi - re the sleep - Ella has gone from not sleeping between feeds (except 1 nap in middle of day) to 2 sleeps between feeds!! They vary from 10-15 mins to an hour. She does sleep, nappy & feed, play, sleep, play, sleep, nappy & bottle. It was sleep, nappy & bottle, play, sleep etc but some reason she's putting extras in there. I put her in her cot while I'm having a shower after she's been in her swing while I do bottles & things & she watches her mobile about 3 times or so & talks & screams & kicks having a great time then just goes to sleep. I'm so glad she does that.

Anna - Have a nice week with your family. Where are they from?

Emma - I didn't realise Cooper had reflux, must've missed that bit. We use S26 AR. Speaking of which I had to buy today - 2 days early! Prob the couple of night feeds I've done.

Gin - Nice to see you back! Hope you are well. Nice of your dh to lurk on bh for you! I could NEVER get David to do that lol. U know wherever I go I am like Bubh Hub girls this & that lol. They must think I'm a dork.

LL - Hope H gets better soon.

Emma - I'm so so so sorry hun. Hugs to you & your family. What happened if you don't mind me asking? It's amazing what a new little bubba can bring to them isn't it. Glad my grandfather met Ella too. My grandma is going back to hospital tomorrow so it's weird to think, it must be horrible for her to think that this is the last night EVER in her own home. She is getting worse by the day. My sister's 21st is Sunday so I hope she goes past then that's all as she was saying something a few months ago about ppl dying on ppl's birthdays. I am sure she would have another week at least though.

My aunty hasn't seen her dp for a couple of months for more than half a day & he is coming up from working in NSW to see her so she wants w/e off frmo caring f/t for g'ma & my g'ma is being nasty & complaining. My aunty is so upset as she feels g'ma doesn't appreciate what she is doing for her especially when she has her own health probs (annurism, newly diagnosed heart probs, blood clots etc). I think she is just stressed with everything happening. Wouldn't you be if your dh just died & you have like a few weeks to come to terms you are following in his footsteps really really soon? Christmas is gonna be weird this yr.

OMG Guess what? I have no idea if I was asleep & dreaming or if I was awake (I never know anymore, nights are such a blur lol) but Ella's swing had the music playing & it was swinging!! I soooo hope I was dreaming but I really have no idea!

Had a busy day today. E is asleep in her clothes lol. Kindermusik rocks. Dh doesn't understand why I enrolled her & what benefits it has so I told him. I said I'll do every 2nd term as so exy & she starts swimming in Oct anyway. He said swimming's different, it's important! KM is important too as far as I'm concerned.

Must go do this dreamfeed, hope it works lol.

Good night!

Look fwd to pram recommendations!

PS Sorry this is long but I had to reply to everyone!

Ok my quote thingy didn't work.

LT Thanks for the heads up on the P&T that's great to know! Valco one has heaps of positions so might look at that one.

Ella sits up in her pram, has been for over a month. She hates lying down as can't see. Only lies down when tired or sleeping.

I'd get one of those backpacks as sounds great & really easy however my back is stuffed & I couldn't manage it. I should get my @rse into gear & do something about it hey?!

I have decided when E has her 4 mth needles (omg so soon!) I am going to get the free vaccination. Sounds stupid voluntary getting a needle when I hate them but rather take preventionary steps than regret not doing it. Is anyone else getting it?

I don't think I will be able to. My cars needs a new alternator so I can't take it up to Rockhampton and Dh can't get time off work as he just started a new job. I can't afford it either. I'm pretty sure my other 2 sisters will go so I don't feel to bad about not being able to.

I actually never mentioned he had reflux :o lol. He had it pretty bad the other night so I thought I better do something about it.
S26 AR is the one I got tonight.

I don't mind you asking Carrie. She has Cancer in her bowel about 3yrs ago, They operated on her I don't know what the out come was from it but she got better was was back to her old self again until about christmas last year and she started getting stomach pains and she went back to the doctors and they comfirmed that the cancer spread to her liver. When I went up and visited her in March she was weak and lost alot of weight, but she was still pretty good. In May she had to be put on liquid morphine and slow release patches for the pain. About 3 weeks ago she had a fall in her home and no one found her for 24hrs. She was put in hospital. So I gather she just gave up.
I knew she wouldn't come out of hospital but I didn't think it would be so quick. :crying:

BG great that you're feeling better. its terrible being unwell. the cream for A is working perfectly.. its drying out the sores she had and has faded all the rash. hoping we wont have to use it for much longer. :)
well did i mention my brother & sil have a p&t e3? the red one. looks great but im glad i didnt buy one. compared to my MB its a bugger to push. prob coz all the weight is in one spot. slimmer tho obviously so thats a plus. not keen on poor kid in the back seeing nothing.. but at the same time atleast people wont be in their faces hehe.
anyway im sticking with my MB. love it  wont have to deal with pram shopping till D wants to walk more. plus i rarely go shopping other than food shopping and i just carry them both till i find a trolley. way to dangerous to let D walk in the carpark.

hollie dont worry about monty not lying flat. my girls hated it so they're always been on slight angles very early on. since A has been out of the bassinet she's in an almost sitting position.. she lays on a sheepy so she's very snug. i dont understand why some prams only have 2 or 3 levels.. seems silly. the MB's can be at any level coz they're supported with straps not metal bars. much easier imo.

i've booked M & D into a new swim school, and A will start when she's 1.. cant do it before then coz i have to go in with D till she's 2 & 1/2. i have a feeling they'll take her in earlier tho coz she can already float on her back, swim(kick under water) to the side of the pool and grab the edge then 'almost' climbs out! they both need goggles now hehe. cute!

hollie thats crazy about the swimming classes not taking phone bookings..

valcos are great but i would never ever ever put a toddler seat on one. we had one and it tipped  D was only a few weeks old. and M only weighed like 13kgs and the seat went to 25kgs so it wasnt that. its just massively unstable. but for one child i reckon they're great.

Last time I had vax I had tetnus in one arm, hep b (had to get hep b for working in a child care centre) when I was 16. My arms were dead. Tetnus is the WORST!!! Carrie i really like my new pram. Its a Valco RAD. The whole seat section is fully reversible so that you can see bub plus you can lay them back and sit them up. It is a 4 wheeler but steers heaps better than all 3 wheelers i have used!

Emma - Sorry to hear your sad news :hugs:

LT - Im the same as you, i sit Griff in the position one up from reclined. He likes to be able to look around. I think the 6 months is just a guide for when they have enough neck strength.

BG - Oh you poor thing!! Im glad you are feeling better now though! Your DH! He should have told us he was trying to keep up!

Sheree - Good to hear that A's rash is settling down now. Hopefully it will go away and not come back!

Carrie the 6 months+ on the prams is really only a recommendation going by the average head support of young babies. If Ella is fine sitting up slightly then i say it will be fine BUT if you intend on keeping it for any more kids then i would say get one that can fully recline.

Does anyone here sell stuff on Ebay??? I just listed something for the first time, and I can't find it anywhere. I have it saved in my Ebay and it says it is listed in the catergory I want it in but I just can't find it, I have done something wrong? does it take awhile to come up?

Thanks Emma, so sorry to hear about your Grandmother, it is nice though as you said, that she and Cooper met.

LL-I second what Jaimie said about the Fenugreek tablets, as for beer, I think stout is the kind to go for, i hear it works wonders.

Carrie-sorry I'm no help with prams, I love my P&T so much! I'm very glad to from what the other girls have said, it seems it is not the best pram for everyone, so I'm glad Kes and I both love it as they are quite expensive! SOme of those ones on the links look awesome, have fun shopping! :D

Sarah-you poor thing, I hope it is a short lived flu :hugs:

LT-Wow, you're going great with the nappies! I'm going a bit slow at the moment with mine, it is planned and started though, so a few good days/evenings should get the bulk of it done. I hope it turns out well, and then like you I'll make Kes the same! :p
Sucky time for the swimming book-in, but great idea starting classes!
There's no way known I'm getting in to a public pool without new boardies and singlet (still got stretchmark issues here) so no swimming for the boy...

I can't remember if I wrote that Kes had his 3 month appointment? He is 14 weeks now and here are his stats:

Height: 63 from 60.6cm
Weight: 6625 from 5940g

So he is starting to become a wee chubba bubba! Yay!!!

Thanks Sunflower, yup I'm much better now!

Kes has suddenly mastered the foamy fountain poo, it barely hits his nappy, just shoots up the back... icky! It went straight out in an arc on to the floor before (concrete luckily!) which was kind of funny, missed me entirely and his nappy was almost totally clean! LOL, what a party trick...

LL, I second what Jaimie says. My little possum is self weaning!!! She totally refuses the boob for her last evening feed, but will happily drink 200mls of formula. I'm not as organised as you to express. Its just too hard with a toddler running around, a hungry baby and trying to relax to get a let down!! She is also trying to give the other feeds a miss too but I am just persistant and keep getting her to latch on until I have a let down, where as at nighttime she is too tired and just wants it then and there. Its pretty sad, I'm really hoping to last until 6 months but at this rate it will be sooner than that. DS weaned himself like this too but not this early - he was totally formula at 6 months too. Although I am looking forward to having my body back at the same time. I will continue night breastfeeds though for as long as she needs them (cant be bothered doing formula at night). My GP said it is very often that they try to self wean between 4-5 months and once they have a taste of the bottle (fast flow) they think they want it like that all of the time.

Still unpacking........ best go

very tired today, only about 5.5 hours sleep last night.

Toadlets swimming classes are at 8.30 in the mornings on a wednesday. EARLY!

Frog gets home from Melbourne in an hour, might try get a quick snooze in.

I was in Myer today and toadlet was boiling hot, I only had a tshirt and nappy on him, so I took off his tshirt and he was just happy lying there in just a groovy black nappy.

He got lots of strange looks (or I did) from people wearing coats and jumpers.

M woke up this morning boiling hot then threw up. it was only a little bit tho. she's managed to keep down a lot since then. still warm and her face is white.
then just had a call from sil who is staying with my parents and her 3yr old is sick too! dont know whats going on but :fingerscrossed: no-one else gets it. i dont want the littlies sick. or me for that matter!

wanting to write a thankyou card for the girls swimming instructor.. any ideas would be great. posted it in the other section but people are looking but not replying so obviously no ideas. she's helped me out so much so i really want to do this for her.

hollie, D used to swim at 8.30 then M at 9am. now they're both at 9am. but next term they start at a new pool and its 10 for D & 10.30 for M. have to leave the house at 9 tho coz its 45mins away. fun fun fun!

That is the one i wanted when i was buying my new pram! But i couldnt get it because the toddler board couldnt clip onto the rear axel.

LL - Aww i hope the Lactation cookies work for you (and if not at least they taste good!)

Gin - WOW!! Kes' stats are great! He is already rather 'tall' hey!

Griff has been asleep since 12.45pm and it is now 3.17pm!! I just put Amity to bed as well because she was in such a bad mood!

Taryn - i know bi-card is really good at getting rid of smells but not sure how you would apply it... Perhpas make up a paste?? Either that or vinegar... i will get back to you on it though.

Hey girls

Took my pram back today & got full refund no probs as TRU admitted those prams are faulty & there was another behind the desk which had been returned. Getting a new pram tomorrow (I bloody hope!). Went quickly into local baby shop & told her ones I was looking at like that Mountain Buggy one (Shezi) & she said if I am willing to pay $500 for a pram to DEFINITELY get the MB. She said P&T's tear really easily. They don't stock MB's but told me a shop that has hundreds of them & my dh I think gets 10% off at that shop which I have to see is still valid. Told her I am looking for a light weight 3 wheeler, good size basket lol and multi-positions.

Got to go pram shopping sooner than expected!

LANA - I like the sound of your Valco one! I will write all these names down so I can ring around shops to see who has what in stock so I can look & play. Borrowing my SIL's little stroller tomoz to go cos I can't carry Ella round at the same time.

SARAH - I hope you don't come down with the flu! Eat lotsa Vit C!

LT - How's your hip? I kicked my toes on our bed the other day & Ella was asleep in her room next door so I threw myself on the bed, buried my head in a pillow & screamed bad words over & over again lol. It is fat, blue & red!

SUNFLOWER - Did the dreamfeed however I WAS UP ALLLLLL NIGHT!!! BLOODY DUMMY!!! I think she is waking so often for it cos she is teething. I bought bonjella today so see if that helps tonight. Think I'll still do a dreamfeed as it might've just been her being unsettled, nothing else. When she was winging at 7.30am I couldn't physically get out of bed so left her & she fell back asleep after about 10 mins. Maybe I should leave her winge & not get up to her unless she gets really upset? I got all of about an hour's sleep! I had to get up as mum was coming over first thing so quickly got Ella organised, cleaned, showered etc all by 9.30am. Can't believe I did it! I felt like a Zombie all day!

SHEZI - I hope M is better. My niece is sick too, high temps all night & day so SIL texted to see if Ella was ok since we've been with them every day this week & Lily has been kissing her lol. Ella's fine though so far. Hope M is better. As for thank-you's what about taking a pic of the girls in the pool for her & making a card out of it?

Ella is actually still awake for a change, had a nap but put her in bassinette in lounge so she didn't not wake up as I need to bath & feed her first. She slept in her clothes last night!

Be back on later to research more prams... Ciao!

hey chicks
just quickly...

CAT P!SS - if its on fabric then that febreze stuff is good. vinegar or bicarb are good too. stinks so bad, hey?

BONJELA - Al's sis is a dentist and she said using it too often can make kids hypersensitive to local anasthetic. she said finish the tube we have then get the difflam one

JOLLY JUMPER - Harper is in it for the first time, hasn't got the bouncing thing down yet but thinks its cool.
question... how low should he be? feet just touching or knees slightly bent?
i looked on the net then said to Al "the march mums will know!" :D

michaela i put A in with her feet pretty much flat on the floor (but not quite) so when she bounces it stretches a little iykwim.

ah lana never thought about the toddler board. oh well D has such short legs i cant imagine booting her out of the double anytime soon lol. hopefully by the time i want need the pram it will be cheaper too :D

Carrie i dont even use the MB baby bag. it only closes at the top by like an inch of velcro so everything is exposed to crims.. well thats what i reckon anyway! the seat liners are cute tho even tho mine is covered with a sheepy.(you can buy the sleeping bag thingys they look so good!) and the elite has better suspension. tho my sis has the 04 model and its just as good imo. so maybe see how much they are by comparison.

hollie i am forever banging into the corners of our counter tops. hurts like crazy!! did you get a bruise?

M's a lot better but still not 100%. i think my neice got it worse.. she slept for 4hours today! she never has day sleeps. theyre off to the 'after hours clinic' soon.

ive never used bonjela. i stick with teething rings & panadol if it gets really bad. its never come to that tho. thankfully. M was the best teether.. her teeth would just pop up. D had more probs.. thats when her sleeping went really bad.

ok here's a comparison of A's rash.. this was from before the cream. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/Shezi26/girls2Small.jpg

this ones of her arm.. its spreading down which i find odd. does this make sense to anyone? its clearing up on her tum but spreading towards her sides and down her arms.. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/Shezi26/girls005Small.jpg
might not be overly clear in the pic but theres a huge difference in the redness and its improved heaps. i did think it would disappear a little quicker tho considering im using the cortisone 3times a day. anyway i dont care, atleast its working

she's such a little chubba, she's pretty much in 00's now.. length wise she'd still be a 000 but they're too tight  i even put her in one of D's 0 singlets and it fits so well. pretty funny that they can wear the same size.. even if it is only a singlet hehe.

well M is a little better but still not great.. im hoping she's good by the morning coz she has swimming. i'd hate for her to miss out on the last day. speaking of feeling yuk tho.. i feel sick. but i think it might be in my head coz i hate throwing up.. worst thing.. im trying to shake it either way..

anyway off to watch house will be back on later maybe.. seeya!

I cant believe A is only just going into 00!! Griff is moving onto 0!! He is pretty much in all 0 tops and his pj's are 0. They actually fit him really well!

Taryn - Yep, male cats do mark their territory!! Im not sure about de-sexed cats though.

Well we dropped Amity off at my mums tonight as she is taking her to her work tomorrow (mum is a year 2 teacher). The kids in her class kept asking her when Amity was going to come in again and because they are having a class party tomorrow mum asked the principal if she could take Amity in and i am going to pick her up at 12.30pm!

After dropping Amity off Sam, griff and I went out for dinner. We had Indian and it was soooo nice! I love Indian food.

MY dad was very verbally abusive and aggressive towards my mum and us kids (he never hit us)

Kids see/feel things very differently to us and they blame themselves

OMG SARAH! So sorry hun. Big hugs to you, O & Iris. Do you think the separation is just a temporary solution & you will eventually get back together after time apart or do you think it is over? You don't have to answer babe. Maybe u should join Caithi & Hollie in the Gay March Mummies! Lol. Don't know about you girls but I could so live with one of you girls easier than dh LOL. (No I'm not gay btw ... sorry to disappoint lol).

CAITHI - Big hugs to you as well. Can't believe Mark did that! WTF is with the March Daddy f**kheads? What are their probs? Especially since they have just started / continued a family with all of us. Do you think it's his family's influence? If it is that which is helping cause this tension maybe you guys should move to another state & see what happens then when he has no-one but you?

I think it's a curse ...

Grandma went back to hospy yesterday. Dad was called up today as I think she is either unconscious or sedated which means not long left. Mum said no hurry to go up though cos we saw her when she was good last Thursday & grandpa went from Wed to Sat under sedation. Dad is trying to talk to a nurse though to find out WTF is going on cos it wasn't a nurse that called them to tell him to go up, it was a friend of my grandma's ... Maybe my sister's 21st on Sunday will be the day like we thought (until last week, we thought she had at least 3-4 weeks left but she has just gone downhill last 2 days).

Pram shopping today anyway as can't do sh!t without one hey. Borrowing SIL's little umbrella stroller today, doesn't recline at all so will have to bring e's head support as assume I'll need the straps lower than what they are.

Dave likes the P&T Sport or E3 & they are on sale atm everywhere. But I was told they tear easily? So it's a toss-up - P&T, Mountain Buggy (normal one for $699) or Beema Q Elite. So off to BG first as furtherest away & they have P&T's and MB's then to BabyCo to look at Beema. He prefers Beema as cheaper :)

LT - I like the Eumulunga (sp??) but the lady I spoke to in baby shop yesterday said I'm so little I'll never lift it into the car! LOL.

Ok better go get ready. It's warmer again up here. Weird weather ... Ella's wearing her Ralph Lauren dress today! But with white leggings not little bum cover, and her uggies.

Have a good day, will let ya know which pram I get. If any have to be ordered in & take more than a day or 2 I won't be getting those ones lol. Need it NOW!

Does anyone wanna meet at P&B expo Sat btw? (If I have a pram?!)

NIC, SHARON, FRANGI, GEMMA, KYM, JENNY ... WHERE ARE YOU ALL?? LURKING IN THE SHADOWS?

We have got him the Amazing Animals train for Christmas, plus a Playskool walker/rideon, the Fisher Price stacking rings, and something else I can't remember... anyhoo, it was good, hardly any crowds and no layby queue!

wow bg thats great. cant believe there was no queue! i avoid the toy sales for that reason.. the layby queue usually stretches from one end of the store to the other and everyone gets all pushy. not somewhere i want to be with 3 little girls.

update on M. she has tonsillitis AGAIN! her tonsils are covered in white specks(pus) & her glands are huge. tonsils are always huge anyway but they're pretty much touching now. debating again whether to get them out or not. from the ages of 6months to 12months she had it every couple of months.. from 1 to 2 she had it 2weekly and antibiotics didnt even work. from 2 to 3 it was 2monthly and now she's had it 2 or 3 times this year. this one being the worst since she turned 3. not sure whether to let her 'outgrow it' or just have them out.

i dont want her having surgery just for the hell of it but at the same time why should she have to deal with this all the time.. we have private cover so she could have them out in a week if i really wanted..

BG what a rude cow! hasnt she heard that the 'customer is ALWAYS right' hehe. i miss the rolly eye smilies too.

Hi girls,

Haven't read. Just popping head in while family is here.

Went to Kmart and Myer sales today and started Sams bday and the Xmas shopping. Sooo much to buy. All his friends have bdays around the same time as he does and I have a few friends having babies. Will be going back tomorrow without Sam.

Leah is feral at the moment. WILL NOT sleep in her cot. Had me up 7 times last night before 3am when I finally put her in bed with me. Im buggered. Decided to give her a bottle of formula as a dream feed tonight (or DH will), Im really excited about the prospect of 5 continual hours of sleep. Im not feeling too bad about it. I figure if she gets 49+ feeds per week, one or two of forumula when Im knacked aint going to harm her.

Ok, gotta go. Shes screaming.

Hope you are all well and behaving. :D

Caithi LEAVE HIM!! don't worry about the mortgage, finances can work themselves out. i agree that what he did was a deal-breaker. i think he needs some serious counselling before you consider letting him back into your life!! maybe he IS depressed... or maybe he is just a f***ing a$$hole, but you shouldnt have to deal with violence in any form. aside from the effect on you, if Anais sees that sort of behaviour, she might grow up thinking its ok.

Sarah :hugs: i'm so sorry to hear your news. i hope you are feeling ok...?

to both Caithi and Sarah - as a child of divorced parents, i firmly believe that two happy homes is better than one miserable one. i don't agree with people who stay together "for the kids". it doesnt help children to see their parents fighting or no longer in love.

Anna - hope you get some sleep tonight! isnt it funny how 5 hours seems like a long sleep nowdays!

on a lighter note, toy sales! yep, heading to big w later. going to get the animals train that BG mentioned and a walker thingo for xmas. also want to get the leapfrog drum or zoo thing.

the 3 of us are sick as! sore sore throats (oh its so sad when H cries), coughs, blocked noses. Al just got back from the chemist with lozenges for me (all I can take while b/f) and these demazin cold relief infant drops for Harps.

that difflam teething stuff my SIL the dentist recommends is actually "difflam mouth gel", its not in the baby section.

Shezi.. A's skin has realy healed quickly.

Annsam. I should send Frog around to put on some sound proofing material on Leah's bedroom door.

Sarah.. You're MINE. Hands off al other Gay March Mummies.

Ok, with my business i have one major competitor (the guy who wants to buy e out, and a new threat who are offering free c@alculators if you put their logo at the bottom and a link to their site (the only catch is they also do mortg@ges and the person with the c@laculators could loose the customer to them.

I have actually been a little worried about them taking a ot of my business.

Anyway, I was thinking about stuff last night and how the new competitors c@lculators are VERY similar to the big competitor. So i did some investigating and found out the new competitors code is identical to the other companies! They plaguerized it.

I called the big competitor to let him know and sent him samples of the code. So hopefuly he'll be able to sue them and abolish them!

He sent me an email saying "Thats why I want you to come work for me " *giggle*.

Getting very excited abut clubbing on Saturday, got a sexy top, digged ot a tiny mini skirt that goes really wel with it so I dont have to make one. Got my hair cut. All I need to do now is that fake tan.

Hey everyone

:hugs: Caithi like everyone else has said you deserve better then that.

:hugs: to you too Sarah.

I so annoyed right now. With my Nanna's funeral, my uncle decided to have it on Monday. He won't do it any sooner as his daughter is away and she won't be home til Sunday. The only problem is Monday's my B'day and when my mum mentioned his to my uncle he said I don't care  . My sister is paying for me to fly up with her and my younger sister for the day so we can go. So Mondays gunna really suck. My uncle isn't even going to get a plark, flowers or anything. So us girls are buying flowers and going to get a photo of her blown up and framed. Our uncle said to us, my bother she was just an old hag God didn't my sister rip it up him!

Hey everyone

Shezi I couldn't hold off as I don't have anything else to put Ella in.

I ended up getting a red P&T Sports pram as suited me the best (from last & closest shop to home I went to of course!). Funny how the MB was more exy yet they were all talking me out of it?

BG were talking me into P&T Sport, they advised that the Quinny Speedi SX (on my massive list of prams separated into columns of the 3 shops I was going to with prices) had been discontinued. BabyCo didn't have any other brands except Beema Q & it was ok but I wasn't in love with it (like the others lol) then the last shop I went to I looked at the MB Urban (none had the Elite or Designer models), the P&T Sport (obviously!), Valco Rad & Valco Tri-Mode (I think). She said the MB is a gr8 pram except no toddler seat option & everything is extra including the bar (which we agreed should be a safety requirement on all prams). Also said it is more of a running/endurance pram.

She seemed to be leaning towards me having the Valco but I ended up liking the P&T a lot better. At least this time I knew what to look for, knew what questions to ask, got her to show me how they fold down, the different positions etc etc (lol I must've been a PITA!). When I said I have a 2 door hatch she folded the Valco down as she said it is not as long as the P&T but when it was folded it was a lot fatter. The wheels removed but who could be bothered doing that all the time?? Plus it had 3 positions, P&T had 4 that suited me better - eg the slightly raised laying down posy (good for reflux bubs), when it is sitting all the way up it is nice and tall and my niece's head touches the head of her pram just about & Ella is gonna be tall like her so this was something I was also particularly looking for.

Anyway so I got the P&T. Yay! I Luv it & can't wait to use it (I am saving groceries to tonight so dh can come, push trolly & I'll push new pram! Lol). Wanna ask dh if we can go to Big W Toy Sale as I'm looking at catalogue now circling things for niece, nephew, and Ella for christmas as it is no deposit lay buy & late pick-up as in xmas eve. I am getting Ella the outdoor gym on page 74 with the swing & slide and prob something little like those story book pillows. I want to get my niece the Nintendog which you can train! Cute!

My best friend's (Mummy to Mason) little boy is 1 next Wed & we are going up next w/e for his party. She loves books so I was going to get a few books but there is this thing in Big W catalogue with a book & projector thing you read along to but it says 3+. Those with older kids, what do you think? Real books? This one? Or a toy & a nice book?

OK will go read posts & reply now.

PS My grandma is now sedated like my grandpa was at the end. It is a matter of a day or 2 :( The settlement of their rental house went through Tuesday & mum was saying how they only got draft figures today (bit too late!) and the rental adjustment was wrong by about $3500! I told dad to get the Wills off that particular firm (won't name but a very large, possibly national high tier firm) & not to let them handle the Estate file. Dad wants to do it himself cos they stuffed this settlement up however I said def not, to go to a solicitor because it is not as simple as ringing up & closing accounts, paying bills etc, there is more too it like transferring property into dad and my aunty's names through Titles etc, getting original death cert's from RBDM & providing certified copies to the banks & phone companies & what have you to confirm deaths, the deaths need to be recorded in DNRM (Titles), getting bank cheques for beneficiaries, to pay outstanding bills etc etc. Hope he listens. He's stubborn.

Ok firstly I have a prob - I can't remember when my AF was last? I always put a P in a circle on the day I got it in my diary to keep track but last one was 7 weeks ago! I think that was the first one I got though & then took pill, got sick, stopped & got again so it is at least 5 weeks to 5 1/2 weeks ago. I hope I am not prg, well I'd luv to be actually except NEED a new car ... Although before i was on pill I'd go 6 weeks without. I will leave another week then might have to find out one way or the other ...

SUNFLOWER - I ended up giving E a bottle at 2am as had already got up about 7 times (very very hard last night too!) between 12 & 2. The times she starts waking is earlier & earlier! Damn teething! I think I have to go see my CHN cos she said to if sleeping doesn't get better (that was a week & a half ago!) so we can work out some tactics. I think E must be hungry even though she closes her eyes & drops off when gets dummy iykwim? As soon as I give it to her (in her cot, no nappy change anymore) she sleeps without her dummy right through the rest of the night. It's just she was sleeping 5.30pm to 3am, dummy or bottle then sleeping til 4.30 or 5am (bottle if didn't have one before) then in my bed til 7 or 8am depending. I was wanting her to drop 3am wake-up then but now I am longing for that again! I have tried everything - keeping her up, quick shower at night so no stimulation like in a bath, dream feeds, feeding her a bigger quantity, letting her winge, dummy (duh) ... I am certain it's her teeth as she isn't satisfied with just her dummy anymore, needs a fist & dummy lol to hit the spot so she knocks it out. Was telling baby shop lady today & she said to look at it this way - she is nearly 4 mths old, give it another month & she will reach out & get her dummy on her own. CHN said that last time too if I can make it another month. I think it is just her sore gums though.

LANA - Obviously Griff has taken to his bottle then? That's good. Another reason I couldn't hold off til tax is cos we want to pay dh's debt (we should get enough to pay it) so we can get a car loan to buy a new car, any left over can pay on credit card (I am scared to look at balance left lol). However my centrelink is going to $244 next week then the fortnight after $379!! Yay! But it will prob go up slightly more as I have to call this afternoon as got dh's group certificate & his amount is about $2k lower than estimate. That is made up of FTB Part A, B & Rent Assistance. At least that will help so so so much & should be able to get back on track again, especially after this lot of bills - electricity, car insurance, RACQ membership, phone bills, just paid rego etc etc ...

Hope my work sends my group certificate soon!

Oh ... and don't get me started on sales people!!! OMG I have gone off at so many it's not funny! ;) At least today the lady was great & assembled my new pram for me and everything (I lied & said I was going straight to the shops blah blah blah, went outside & gave E a bottle in the car & she did it!).

SHEZI - Poor M, give her a hug from me & Ella!! I would def get them out since she has had so much trouble with them - I am sure she will love eating all that ice-cream!

LL - I hope you, Al & Harper are on the road to recovery soon!

ANNA - OMG I soooo know how u feel hun! Hope d/f works well for you! Enjoy your family :)

LT - Great Private **** work!!! Clever thing. Outfit sounds hot. I'm not going out Sat night now. Another night :( Wish I could wear a mini! Oh & it has a strap on the handle which looks like goes on your wrist?? Is this what you mean?

EMMA - What a pr!ck your uncle is ... no offence. Hoping my grandma doesn't pass away on my sis's b'day, prob before but will be miserable all round for her birthday on Sunday. Glad you girls stood up to him & doing something special for her, she deserves it, everyone does.

OK EllyMoo is awake so better go feed/change her.

Have a good arvo.

Looking at the kmart toy sale online. I'm going to buy Logan the B & D tool bench for his birthday and maybe a pushbike/ bubble blower?? Need to get in there and have a look but it will have to be next week. I need DH to come with me as my mums away and it would be impossible with 2 kids to buy anything. We should've went this morning but we bought a nice wooden outdoor setting and a really good innerspring sofa bed instead and that took half the day!! Outdoor setting arrives tomoz and the sofa bed is 4-6 weeks away (I hate that!), they didnt have it in the colour we wanted.

Nemosmum/Annsam/R & T's mum - any ideas for DS's second birthday pressies??? I dont want to buy stuff that wont get much use etc. I know he will love the tool bench cause he loves tools and stuff but want a few other things. Kids are getting trampoline and swing set for Xmas of us and my parents. When I think about the pushbike I dont know if he will get much use out of it. Did your boys have one at this age?

OK better go, Tacos for din din tonight.

Carrie, I noticed the other day you said Ella drank 300 mls. I'm pretty sure the most you should give them is 250 mls.

Monty has been awake for 3 hours! Just took him into the city to get some tops for Frog for clubbinh tomorrow and he was awake in the backpack the whle time,
he's having a bath with daddy now and he doesnt shut up!

Pretty cool that you got the pram, did you have fun with it tonight? I had them put mine together to, much better knowing it's all safe. I have been amazed at just how much I can fit in the shopping basket with it in the totally flat position, you'll be able to fit even more with it tilted up.

Emma-that's horrible to hear, what a nasty man. Sorry to hear about your birthday, that's not fair :hugs:

LT-sounds like a great night ahead for you, lucky Frog having a personal shopper ;)

Shezi- poor M! Sounds like it might be time for the operation, what a shame. Better than it keeping coming back though I guess. Sorry, must have misread your post about A's rash, great news that it's getting better! Phew!

LL-Not fun for you guys! Nasty to be sick, I was very fortunate that Kes and DH stayed healthy last week while I was down, it sucks when you're all sick. Hope it's over soon :hugs:
Would you mind letting me know what you find out about the teething gel?

Guess what ladies..? Today after a lot of grizzling and attacking his toys, I discovered the corner of a molar sticking through Kes' gum! It's 2nd from the back I'd guess, and it's the outer edge sticking through. No wonder the poor little chook has been sad lately, and growling while he bites me, LOL I gave him Panadol for the first time this morning as I've had a feeling that's his problem, but it wasn't till this evening that I found the tooth.

Oh and LL, I got that train (did I already say that?), it is awesome! I also got 3 extra carriages with bonus animals to give him for his birthday to reinvigorate the toy if he's sick of it. I saw the drum, looked really cool, but don't know the zoo, might have a squiz at the catalogue.

Kes snoring now after Panadol and drinkies, might join him!

Lana-that is so funny about Griff's dummy! Amazing how quickly they change. It's interesting how sometimes you offer them a toy or something they've never wanted and suddenly it's the best thing they've ever seen! :o

Shezi-At first Kes liked the Happy dummies, but now he loves his NUK orthodontic one. I heard (from a caring Bubhubber) that they may not meet Aussie standards as it seems the surround is a bit small, so now I only give it to him when we're together in case it goes in to his mouth (he is obsessed with it, I think it helps his gums).

There is also a brand I found in the chemist that I can't remember, but they make a lovely one that is slimmer than the cherry style and comes in silicone, for $0.95! I was stunned! It's about the thickness of my little finger and he does enjoy it occasionally.

Jaimie-my dentist said that unless they have dummies till around 6 years old then it wont hurt their teeth. I just mention this in case you got rid of her dummy worrying about that. Hope she settles soon! :fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Hi girls will read posts later, gotta head out soon.

Antonio has a tooth coming through, poor little bugger it's near the back.. a molar? i think, now i know why he has been chewing on his dummy on that particular side (right side). I cant actually see th tooth surface yet, just the gum is really pale and a bump where it is pushing up. I thought they where "meant" to get front teeth first.. then again when i looked at his gums there are quite a few biggish bumps.. i think im going to have an explosion of teeth. LOL.

He is rolling side to side now too. :yelclap:

Will read/write later.. must run... hope all are well xoxo

Hi girls.

Well doing groceries last night I received the dreaded phone call that my grandma passed away. Dad missed out again. He had been up there since like 5am yesterday & took off work & everything then was feeling sick & headachey so decided to come home for dinner then go back up. She passed away while he was at home. My aunty was there this time though I think with her dp. It happened so quick this time! Hard to believe she was all good a few months ago, got really sore in April/May, found out had terminal bone cancer in May/June & she would only have weeks. I saw her last week at home & she was quite good & even playing with Ella on her lap! She went to hospy Wed arvo, the dr asked her if she'd heard from grandpa & she said "yes, he told me to hurry up". She was sedated Wed night and passed away yesterday evening. Grandpa was sedated wed to sat before anything happened but he was physically stronger. I don't feel as upset even though it was a lot quicker than grandpa had been terminal for (couple of yrs) I sort of felt at peace that she would be with grandpa iykwim? Maybe he will stop hanging around now lol. Although Ella was again talking & smiling to mid-air last night like she did the night g'pa died, this morning I smelt grandma for a brief minute then grandpa then it was gone. Weird but I am CERTAIN! She was also looking towards where the smells seemed to be coming from & following where they moved iykwim and not eating her bottle, just talking & smiling again. I want to go to the psychic next door to my mum's again now.

Went to Big W Toy Sale last night to get my niece & nephew the Nintendog Trick Trainer puppies but sold out, story book pillows for Ella had sold out, outdoor play set with swing was stacked in storage & they said to come back today or tomorrow but call first and the 4.95 snow white & Arial dolls I wanted for niece as well were also sold out. PITA! I called Carindale this morning & they have all but the Disney dolls so going there when it opens at 8.30am tomorrow morning as she couldn't put my stuff on hold. Hope the Nintendogs don't sell out (there were 8 left) as they are such a bargain & different to dolls or trucks!

SARAH, TAZZY, ANNA - Do you think those Nintendogs are okay for a 2 1/2 yr old boy? If so is there anything else you can suggest?

So far this morning I have done 2 loads of washing, quick clean & cleaned out my clothes in my cupboard, looks heaps better now! I feel so much better to do that cos Ella slept through most of the night :) She had fallen asleep around 4.30pm & I got her up to pick dh up & go shopping & when we got home she was awake so fed & changed her & she lay in her cot quietly for ages (why can't she do that in the middle of the night?). It was as if she was in a weird trance lol. Cute. So she must've fallen asleep around 8.30pm or just after & didn't wake til 3am. Gave her some Bonjela & dummy (I luv the way she screws her face up at the taste!) & she slept til 6.15, fed her etc took her to bed with me but she didn't really go back to sleep I don't think. I didn't bath her this morning as I couldn't be bothered & she has been sleeping HEAPS today!

Oh & of course I have upped her bottles to 240ml dose & she hasn't even been drinking 100ml per feed! WT? Does teething affect appetite, sleeping etc??

TAZZY - Purchases sound nice! My niece and nephew both got their bikes last yr & they were rougly 18 & 20 months old and they both use them all the time just around the back yard & patio areas at their houses.

LT - I didn't realise that about the 300ml feed ... but then she didn't drink most of her previous bottle so prob ok. I just believe in giving them what they want as sometimes we are so hungry we guts way more than we should, especially if we haven't had a proper meal for 6 hours or more then other times not hungry iykwim? I didn't realise you were going out 2moz night with Mr Frog (lol Dave used to be called that by me & one of my best friends!). I hope you have a great time!! Oh & Monty obviously LUVS his baths! So cute.

LANA - I wouldn't worry about Griff's thumbsucking - I'd rather E suck her thumb cos at least I wouldn't have to shove it back in her mouth in the night! Lol. I was a thumb sucker, refused dummies. My sis & I both were. When I was 9 I was told by the school dentist if I didn't stop by yr 7 I would need braces (buck teeth) so I stopped then but occasionally even when I was a teenager I would be told by dh or my parents that I was sucking my thumb during the night! How embarrassment! It stopped me sucking it all the time though. Oh & E doesn't actually giggle yet she squeals!

GIN - Yes i had gr8 fun with it last night & dh even kept taking it off me very subtly & didn't wanna give it up! Only thing I realised is Ella's clothes & blankets are mostly pink & don't match the red! HAHA. Ella was lying slightly raised last night with just the zips done up (wanted her to go back to sleep) & she so knew she was in a diff pram, checking it all out. You should've seen her face - she looked like "this isn't my pram!". Classic. What colour is yours? Dh left dirty handprints on it last night when working out how to fold it (yes I forgot!) & I had to spunge off today (he hadn't had a shower & had black hands from work). That's where the black was good but the majority of the time he doesn't come out after work with us & the pram. Going walking this afternoon to SIL's so looking fwd to that! Oh & congrats on Kes's tooth! E's gums are sharp & bumpy too, more on the side.

SHEZI - I will look at your pics after this post. A is such a cute chubba bubba! At least M won't get have to go through tonsilitis again. Ella prefers the TT dummies that come in a 2 pack for $2.95 & she has purple & 2 pink with the white circle in the middle & clear ring iykwim. Except she needs more cos she has flattened them! She has the fairy princess/little princess dummies from TT which she doesn't mind but still can't hold the flat clear Avent ones in her mouth properly nor the TT closer to nurture ones, the clear funny-looking ones. She spits them out all the time.

JAIMIE - My niece is giving hers to santa this yr, she was 2 in April. I am gonna do the dummy fairy idea like the tooth fairy!

AD - Yay Anotonio! I was just saying to Gin that E's gums are sharp & bumpy on the side too. I agree with you & think we will get a few at once. She isn't satisfied with just her dummy as doesn't hit the spot lol. Neeeds all hands on deck plus her dummy! Piglet! How is A sleeping at night with the teething? Yay for A rolling to his side!!

Sorry another long post but HAVE to reply to all lol.

E's screaming so better go feed her, been 4 hours & she only drank 100ml!

Funny how.. 2 boys think they might like to get their molars first!! he he

Jacey and Logan both used happy dummies (I tried all different types but they wouldnt take any others).

Carrie, sorry to hear about your grandma. It does sound like your grandpa was hanging around for her doesnt it. Its kinds sweet. At least they are together now. Wow thats amazing that you smelt them - maybe they were saying by together - gave me goosebumps.

Carrie - so sorry about your grandma :hugs:

Would you mind letting me know what you find out about the teething gel?
ok so we asked Chanel (Al's sis, the dentist) about the difflam mouth gel being for over 6 year olds. she said that of course it is our choice as parents but she would use it on her baby. she said to use about 1/6 of a pea size and only for a couple of days when its really bad. she says the main remedy should be teething rings or rusks.

guess what?! my little spunky monkey is going to be in a catalogue! our friend works for bambini pronto and has organised for him to be in their next catalogue. i just hope he doesnt chuck everywhere like last time we got photos done

so michaela.. harper is our first model march baby :D hehe he's adorable. his eyes are going to stand out in the pics for sure!

carrie my girls have the TT dummies too(pink/purple packs) it would be so easy if A would take them. im happy she doesnt have a dummy but i know she'll be like D and want one at 12months so i'd rather her have one sooner coz D went through a rough patch with sleeping and i wished she had a dummy then coz she wanted to feed all night..

gtg bub needs a feed. seeya!

Hello March Mummas,

Caithi - He threw a plate at you! NOT ON!

LT - have a GREAT night Saturday. Very jealous.

Carrie - :hugs: Im so sorry.

Emma - :hugs: That sucks!

what dummy does everyones little one prefer?? the only type i havent tried are the orthodontic shaped ones..

Avent. Tried EVERY other sort but avent is the only one she'll go for properly.

LOL.

Gawd, waht is it with these boys and their molars! Oh well, get the yucky ones out they way first then the rest shoudl be a breeze.

Sams loves in life are Thomas the Tank Engin (Kmart has lots of it for 50% off at the moment) and matchbox / hot wheels cars. If hes into cars, perhaps get him one of those road playmats? Thomas is expensive, or the wooden sets are but they last forever. There are plastic sets too which are much cheaper and will last the toddler years. Other things - a ball to kick. books of vehicles. magnadoodle. colouring book and crayons. plastic lawn mower.

Do any of you other March mummas have a bub that is a thumb sucker? Over the past week or so Griff has been sucking on his thumb and when i went in to go check on him just before he was fast asleep sucking his thumb! Very cute but i cant exactly throw his thumb away when im ready for him to get rid of it now can I!?
Leahs experimenting with various fingers. The thumb is finding its way in there regularly. Sams a thumb sucker.

Shezi, hows your sick girl?

Hope the sick bubbas and mummas get better real soon.

Been to Kmart again today and big W (kmart sale is better). Have done the bday and 90% of the xmas shopping. Im a happy chook.
hmmm....... nothing else going on. Leahs being much better today. Yesterday she had a real bee in her bonnet and just wouldn't settle. It was exhausting. Havne't done the formula dream feed yet as she had her last feed too late last night. Knowing my luck shes going to hate formula.

Work is so busy at the moment. Im oncall pretty much till Xmas. Busy busy busy.

Ok, gotta dahs.

BG.. this could be the "first" your Kes will do in the March mummies.. our little baby is growing up!!

Carrie, Sad about your grandma, but good she gets to hang out with grandpa.

here's a joke to cheer you up. What pink and wrinkly and hangs out of grandpa's pants? --

(highlight:) --> Grandma!

Nothing ike innapropriate humout to put a sile on your face.
Wallop me now if you want.

Annsam. want to come with us clubbing tomorrow?

Frog is feeding toadlet and he hasn't stopped laughing for 5 minutes. He's a very giggly little boy now. Love him! he likes being thrown up into the air now too. Who ever thought my serious little toadlet would be so happy.

LL.. Happy 4 months to Harper and well done on the photo shoot.

Sarah.. forgot to ask you , what nationality are your parents? You look slightly exotic like you may have Indian ancestory or something.

Do any of your DP's or DH's know anything about model trains? need some advice on some good collectable ones.

AD-how crazy that Antonio is starting with a molar too! I've been feeling around and Kes's top teeth are all a tad bumpy, the bottom ones are fairly smooth, LOL, might make it a little hard to chew eh?

Carrie-Sorry to hear that your Grandma has passed. It's nice to hear that you can think of the positive side (that she didn't suffer long, and that she's with your Grandpa). Lovely that she dropped in to see Ella! Lucky little girl
I have a Grandpa I smell sometimes, he was very gruff and found it hard to talk to a little granddaughter but I loved him so much, I like to think that he is around.
That is so funny that Dave pushed your pram around, DH pushes ours too! Ours is Apple green, I get Kes out of the car and pop him in, then hand the wrist strap straight over to him! Ours got a little dirty at first, but DH is better at putting it away now which helps.

LL-thanks for that info, I might stick to the paracetamol for bad attacks and dummy/teether for the rest. I bought a different brand of paracetamol from the chemist earlier as Kes HATES the Panadol cherry flavour, this one is strawberry/vanilla, smells nice and he spat far less out so :fingerscrossed: it works!
How cool that Harps is going to be a star, can't wait to see the pics! LOL, poor little wingnut, Kes's ears are sticking out more every day, it is so cute when they're little but I do find myself worrying about him when he's older :o

Anna-I hope you're right and this means the rest of teething just floats by us! (I wish, LOL)
You sound super busy at the moment, don't know how you cope with 2 littlies too!
That shopping trip sounds awesome, nothing better than having Christmas present out of the way, so you can enjoy the season when it comes!

LT-that is so funny to think of the March 'baby' growing up, makes me realise just how fast this is all going!
Hey, were you starting Monty on meat? Can't remember if that's what you said or not, but have been wondering the guidelines for meat.
As for the trains, I haven't been in to the hobby for a few years now so don't know if I'd be a help or not! Sorry!

Off to the shops again tonight, DH wants to experience the sales I think  ;)

There is also a brand I found in the chemist that I can't remember, but they make a lovely one that is slimmer than the cherry style and comes in silicone, for $0.95! I was stunned! It's about the thickness of my little finger and he does enjoy it occasionally.

Is it the Heinz ones you are thinking of?? They are similar to the cherry shape and are silicone with a small 'knob' at the end of it. (thats sounds a bit rude doesnt it!! )

Griff likes the Avent ones the best but he will take the Heinz ones too.

Oooh how exciting!! I cant wait to see some pics! Lol i hope they dont put a hat on him to hold his ears back, i think they look gorgeous!! They give him character!

When i picked Amity up from day care this arvo, the girls said that she has been a little nudist all day and has been taking her nappy off! One time they went to change her nappy, pulled her pants down and realised she didnt even have one on! She had gone to the toilet herself and just pulled her pants back up!

It's cold here tonight. Feels like my fingers are going to snap off tonight. Had foster MIL over for tea tonight and she decided to stack the dishwasher LOL, needless to say I had to re do it as all the cutlery was in one section of the cutlery holder and the glasses were on the bottom rack and the plates were somehow on the top lol. She was trying to help anyway hehe.

Dh bought me home a new dvd/video player yesterday as ours stoped working a while ago and I've missed heaps of good shows I haven't been able to tape. Now theres nothing on to tape  always the way.

Hey the rolleyes thingy is back.

Anyone watch the new Torchwood show? I think Captain Jack Harkness is a hottie. I looked on his website and I found out he sings too. On one of his albums he sings a lot of 'Grease' songs. One of them being 'Sandy' :o . Then I found out he was Gay and married to his partner :( LOL. Oh well.

My youngest sister found out today she can't go to our Nanna's funeral, as she has to work. They told her if she didn't turn up on Monday they would fire her  .

:hugs: Emma and Carrie about your Grandma's.

Emma that cant be right about your sisters work, i know with everywhere i have worked they have a compassionate leave policy, where in a case of death you can have 1 or 2 days leave. (Usually a week if it is immediate family) They certainly cannot fire her, that would be immoral and or unethical.. she should look into that. As it is down right disgusting to threaten such BS!

BG- Snap with the Molar's .... how funny!

Im off to the sales tommorow, well we are , mum, Antonio and i.. it will be Antonio's first BIG outing!.. Im excited yet a little anxious lol, but he is usually good on short outings. So fingers crossed. Poor boy wont know what hit him.

I turned his car seat around today, and got him to test drive it so i could get shoulder strap right height etc.. He didn't want to get out LOL - All smiles etc. Says to have if facing forward from 8kg's and he was 7.8 at 3 months (so should be well over 8kgs now) and has great head control, so should be good, and with a crappy coupe it will make life a whole lot easier to get him in and out. Without banging his poor head .. Oooops :o Hard trying to lift him out of the rearward facing , being the lump of lard that he is .

Yeah we are still going with the TT. Some days she is great but she forgets sometimes when she is playing cos i think she gets too involved in her playing lol.
I tried those Huggies Nappy Pants and thought they were ****! Sooo much harder to pull up. I think i would rather do extra washing and just put her in knickers.

Wow! I cant believe M has so much in her piggy bank! Yay for her lol!

Emma - AD is right, they cant fire her (or threaten to fire her) for needing time off to attend a funeral. She is entitled to 2 days i think. Unfortunately though, they can make life rather difficult for her and find another reason to lay her off... Some employers really abuse their power.

morning march mummies and welcome back Nic!

well, we are off on Harper's first road trip to see his first footy game. a good friend of ours is player/coach for a country football team about 2 hours east of perth and i try to get to at least one game each year. will be fun! i don't like footy normally but country footy is so cool, everyone parks their cars on the edge of the oval and you're so close you can hear the guys slamming into each other (OUCH, no way i'd do it!)

H is having his nap now then i'll feed him and we'll head off about 11/11.30. we've packed lunch and i just need to hang out the washing then wait for him to wake up. gonna be a good day, Al and I love road trips (and lucky me, he loves driving hehe)

Amity had her hair cut today and when she looked down at the cape and saw her hair she said "Oh no, hair broken!" soo cute!

I went into the garage (door from kitchen) to empty the bin this morning and when i opened it to pull the lid off there was a bloody mouse in it! I screamed, retreated back inside and slammed the door shut! Amity just looked at me and said "whats wrong mummy?" so i told her that Mummy was scared of the mouse. Now she keeps telling everyone "mummy was 'dared' of 'mouff' and banged door!"

Hi girls

David & I had a massive fight this morning & he nearly left. He was leaving cos I told him to eff off (but didn't mean it) & he walked out but I realised well he's not leaving as he doesn't have clothes or anything (or PS2!).So I kept getting ready to go out & went to put bag in car & he was sitting in there saying he is really leaving, someone is coming to pick him up, doesn't need clothes so cos I kept saying whatever he went and packed a bag! Anyway I was a mess & in the end he goes hurry up get in the car :s

When I said well we'll go home after first shop since I don't need him to carry play thing he can stay home with Ella while I go down the other shops so he can feed & change her I went to leave, got out a bib & said here she can put this on after her bottle. He goes "what she wants a bottle?" DUH ... Then he went to change her & asked me to make it & I am like FFS I do it on my own every friggin day, I'll never get to the shops. Sent him a coulpe of texts at the shops saying stuff to that effect & when I came home he has been nice ever since :) Plus Saturday night - his night to get up to Ella! I have averaged 2 hours a night the last few nights to a week. Once I got Bonjella on Wed when I returned the pram that night she stayed asleep til 3.30 & I put bonjella in her mouth with dummy & she slept through so thought yes, I have a solution! But no ... only happened one night :( I'm f**ked atm. And to top it off I now have a cold again & Ella now sounds stuffy too. Bet she sleeps well cos Dave is getting up to her.

Oh finally got E's outdoor gym frmo Big W after a lot of effing around!

Thanks for all the cyber hugs. Funeral is Tues at 11am so moved E's physio appt to 2pm from 1pm so not so much of a rush as a good 45 min drive.

LL - That's so cool! Our first model!

LT - LOL you crack me up!

SHEZI - We used to get a spoonful of sugar if we had our medicine :)

EMMA - My fingers were like that last night too! That is horrible about your's sister's work! Is that MK? (ykwim)We had grievance leave at our work.

LANA - Amity is just adorable!

NIC - WELCOME BACK! Can't' believe she is talking!! That's very early, What sort of food does Madi eat? Have to get together soon :)

Thanks Girls re: Madi saying dada dada! She has been very vocal since day one with grunts and cooing etc. From 4 months babies can start to say dada, mumma but usually dada dada is their first word. So proud of her, but it's not something she does all day long, more like twice to three times a day, it made me cry though so touching!

Oh no Lana, mice are horrible. Hope it runs away...we had a whole family of them here the other week and bought some rat sack but I think they are still living under the oven. It must be the cold weather. How cute with Amity telling everyone, so adorable.

Carrie, we should arrange a catch up again soon. No good to hear about you and DH fighting, glad it's sorted though. I am loving this toy sale too, the outdoor gym sounds good. Hope you don't get too sick with the flu, Madi has a snotty nose at the moment and it's horrible!

On a swerious note M2B, thats fantastic of maddi, very clever girl.
Toadlet really isn't very advanced at much yet, although he's very talented at burping. Oh! and the Jolly Jumper

I had a very scarey moment this morning, I accidentally put Frogs milk on my porridge instead of my soy milk. Washed it out my mouth straight away, brushed my teeth and trye to :barf: it up but couldn't.
The back of my throat at the top started to swell up, my bottom lip swelled up and i had 5 massive welts on my face in about ten minutes. Luckily I think cause it was lactose free milk the reaction wasn't as severe as it would have been with normal milk.
Even ore annoyed cause I thought I'd have to cancel my night out.
So I've been talking funny most of the day and my nose has been severly blocked and puffy face. What a toad I am!

Frog made fun about my restalin lips most of the day.

Elmo
Amity had her hair cut today and when she looked down at the cape and saw her hair she said "Oh no, hair broken!" soo cute!
Thats very amusing!

Carrie you Dill!! Hope he makes it up to you.

Poot toadlet was VERY strange today, he had a few untoadlet like squeals. He never does that. Then this evening he screamed his head off when he was meant to be napping. We got him up and he was inconsolible. Bathed, squealed half a$$ed fed. Squealed. Gave him some panadol and he seamed to be a bit better. I think he's about to start teething.
Naughty rodent being bad on the first night we go clubbing!

Oh.. DP got an email back from his best friend in reply to Frog telling him we had broken up. he never gave the reason.
is friend went on about how women are really different post birth and its normal for them to pay more attention to the baby than the husband. Aso that I wouldnt be able to cope on my own without him.
HA! Funny that he thought it was all my fault!
I inserted a comment into his email and said "I'll let frog tell you the embarrasing reason we broke up " *giggle*.
I tld him to say he had had an affair just so he didnt get laughed at. Nasty toad.

Time to have a shower and put on next to nothing and try look sexy.!

geez well chris asked his boss to let him work today.. so he left at 8am when he woke up. was at his mums by 11. and been drinking since. thing is i dont care but i'd like to know if he isnt coming home.
am i being unreasonable? anyway just talked to him on msn. he didnt get it at all. thing is he rarely goes drinking at his parents so its fine but i want a message like 'been drinking wont be home for dinner'. i just dont get him.. he said i always get sh!tty when hes at his mums?! as if i care! its his parents.. whats he going to do have an affair with his mum?!?!

end of msn was him saying 'i love you. might not be coming home tonight if im too p!ssed. love you' thing is it wasnt in his 'typing' so no doubt everyones been in on it.. not that i care coz im right:yes: selfish pr!ck:banghead:
anyway just told him i know it wasnt all him and got back 'what do you mean' i didnt reply then it was 'will be home tonight.. stopped drinking.. happy'

i still havent replied :devil6: this all wasnt helped by me feeling yuk today.. he just makes every excuse to be away from us. i dont care. im happy with the girls. but it does make me wonder why he's here.
anyway sorry for the whinge.. im done now.. will be back on after girls are sleeping.

Lana - i better send my cat round, he thinks mice are YUMMMMMMMY! so cute Amity saying her hair was broken.

we had a really good time at the footy, they won by 7 points and our friend kicked 3 goals. Harper slept the whole way there and back (2.5 hours each way!!) little star. wonder if he will sleep tonight tho?

ok time to bring the washing in and fold it while we watch Iron Chef - LOVE THAT SHOW :D

M2B-can't believe Madi is talking! That is so exciting, but scary huh?! They're almost big kids! The solids sound like they're going well, what does she have?

Shezi- :hugs: I hope you're feeling a bit better, it doesn't sound like you're over-reacting at all, it's nice to know if they're coming home or not!
That cleaning frenzy sounds awesome, you should sleep well tonight, LOL

Lana- eek! Mice don't bother me, but I can imagine it would have really given you a fright! If you want to keep them away, you can sprinkle some peppermint oil in the area, or put a few drops in a spray bottle filled with water and spray it around all holes and such, should deter them.
Amity sounds like such a cutey-pie, was she worried that her hair was 'broken'? :p
By the way, that Power Ranger I thought looked like you is now on the Betty Crocker 'Warm Delights' ad (where a guy pops out of the microwave), does she look like you?

LT-wow, that would have been a nasty surprise for you, hope you're currently out partying and not home and puffy :hugs:
Frog's friend sounds like a tool, some guys are. I hate it when men joke with DH about how I must nag him and stuff (once we got married) and how stressed the baby would make me, idiots!

LL-that sounds like a fab day out! Nothing better than country footy, listening to everyone toot when there's a goal, and the collective 'oooh' when the ball hits someone's car... ;)
Harper sounds like a real traveling man, good on him sleeping so well! How are you finding his nappies hold up on the long trips? I had heard a few horror stories on the forum about leaking after long trips but I wonder if that's from older babies? I know that Kes lasts all night, the nappy is sodden, but the covers don't get damp...

AD-how the molar coming along? I hope the sales went well, big day for your little man! Let me know if you ever want to meet up for coffee, always happy for an excuse for a trip, LOL

Poor Kes is suffering a bit at the moment, I can't see that edge of tooth at the moment (he gets upset when I look in his mouth, I think it freaks him out, hehe) but that gum had a nasty red spot which would be the other side of the molar. Also, on the opposite side he has a big white lump under the gum. I feel so bad for him, as he's too unco to hold in his teether so is very frustrated.

Sleeping peacefully beside me at the moment, he loves bed time!

i put some extra padding in the one for the way there and it was wet but not soaked through. on the way home, he didnt even wee! i was so surprised, 3 hours and dry nappy. made up for it when he had his nappy-free time afterwards tho

Just happened to be in Big W today and my sister said she was going to layby some toys for our niece and nephew as they have no-deposit layby for toys. So I decided to as well, wasn't going to when the sales started but thought why not. So I got about $150 worth. So what I don't give to Coop for Christmas I'll keep for Cooper's b'day next year. When I told Dh how much it was if almost flipped untill I told him I didn't have to have it paid off till Christmas eve. He's such a scrooge LOL.

I feel selfish for complaining when he works so hard for us but its just not fair on him or us! :banghead:

starting to feel better so thats one good thing.. had really bad back and stomach pains all night.. weird.. it was like my bones were aching.. finally shook off the headache a couple of hours ago.

after i cleaned yesterday my bro, sil & their girls came over.. needless to say i cleaned again after they left then vac'd and mopped today.. they're 3yr old hasnt had much interaction with kids so anything my girls have she takes off them or pushes them.. its not her fault she just doesnt know its wrong.. anyway D was standing on a chair trying to get into the food cupboard(as always) and their 3yr old pushed her off. not impressed. they told her off but i dunno.. its getting to where i have to watch her like a hawk coz she's free to roam. iykwim. i hate whinging about it coz she's only little.. just frustrating coz they come to play and leave a trail of toys and my girls upset..

chris hasnt said anything about yesterday.. he ended up coming home at 9pm. i just cant be bothered. i could talk till i was blue in the face and he still twists everything to what he thinks. if he goes out i just wont cook for him & will assume he's not coming home till the morning. less worrying for me.
tehehe michaela.. yep he's a tool!

gotta go hit the toy sales this week. shall be fun with 3 kids in tow :D

lana is sam on 12hour days? thats crazy doing 7days a week. chris does 6 but friday & saturday are half days. i wouldnt mind 7days for him atm :devil6: haha
i hope sams work eases up after the job is done. he must miss you all like crazy!!

emma hehe your hub went crazy over $150? do what i do and dont say anything! lol. chris is at the point where its 'just do it, i dont want to know'. haha plus as you said its 5months to pay it all off.

speaking of xmas.. not getting the cubby anymore coz we have no idea where we'll be living next year. struggling for pressi ideas for D & A. M is easy!

Yummo Sarah! The cakes look so good! I love the cupcakes, too cute!

Forgot to answer about Madi's food, she is on Farex (4 month old packet) and pumpkin so far. I bought some Heinz organic jar stuff but not sure if I will use it, might just make my own stuff for now, as she only eats very little amounts.

Lana, Sam sure does work long hours, DH works long hours too. Some weeks it feels like I don't see him at all. Hope he gets a break to spend time with you all soon.

LT, hope you had a great night out. Bet it felt nice to have some time to yourself. I am going on a girl's night in the next few weeks, hoping I can have a good time and not worry too much.

Nic - I have some of the Farex in the cupboard and am going to try Griff on it within the next few weeks. He is really starting to eye off our food now. I gave Amity the jarred stuff but want to make my own for Griff cos the jars are gross and full of all kinds of preservatives.

Amity has FINALLY stopped crying and gone to sleep. She has really been wearing thin on me lately. :( Thankfully Sam knows when things are getting on top of me (most of the time) and he picked up the slack with Griffy for me.

I got a set of 3 ice cube tray thingys with lids. The ice cubes come out in the shape of a crescent moon and they hold a lot more than the normal ice cube trays. For the pack of 3 i only paid something like $15. Its good though because i can cook a big batch, puree it and then just stick it in to freeze. Plus i can just pop out however many cubes i need and defrost them!

That sucks that Sam is working so long, it must be very tough.

Did I ever mention that DH changed jobs a few weeks after Kes was born? Anyway, it means that he is now home at 5:30 most nights and rarely works weekends any more :D It is lovely having him home, and Kes thinks he is the best thing ever, lights up when he sees his Daddy!

LL-Leggo lamb, that's gold  We had shoulder of lamb tonight for my bro's birthday. We gave him a cute teapot that sits on its own cup and I knitted a tea-cosy for it that looks like a frog wearing a striped vest... I called it a 'Green Tea Frog' :p

Oh i forgot to mention that yesterday when i was at the shops with my mum and sister, my sister was standing in line at the customer service desk and i was just beside her when one of the ladies standing in line said to her friend "is that a zit on that kid's face!?" (talking about griffs strawberry mark) She didnt mean for me to hear but I was still so upset! Morning! BRRR it's freezing & I have this stupid cold.

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day, did 2 more pages of scrapbook for my sis as her b'day yesterday then went to mum & dad's for birthday cake then we went out to Tomato Brothers for her birthday dinner. Ella was such a good girl. My sister didn't get home til 5am Sunday morning & got up at 10 to mum's scrambled eggs, took one look & threw up!! LOL. Must've been an awesome night. Wish I could've gone. She even had her boobs out in this v-neck sexy LBD (this is so not my sis who hasn't had a boyf, very conservative 7 student!)

At least dh was better today ... i can't believe he was actually gonna leave me :(

BONJELA - Does anyone else's bub seem to just keep chucking after having bonjela?? Ella was a spew machine last night after I gave it to her.

SARAH - Just checking out that site & the first thing that came up was Princess Ella! OmG you naughty thing, how tempting!! Will look at pics soon. Glad christening went well.

NIC - The outdoor gym is great cos you can buy other ones that are different & put them together by putting the slides as straight planks between the gyms so we might get her a different one for her b'day to put with it.

LT - Are you alergic to milk? Poor chooK! Hope you had an awesome night. What a pr!ck for Frog's friend assuming it was all your fault you seprarated! Typical male! Though you do have me wondering what this 'embarrassing' reason is now! How was your big night out?

SHEZI - Haha, having an affair with his mum!! LOL. I know what you mean, he def should have had the courtesy to tell you where he was & when he'll be home.

GIN - Do you & Kes co-sleep? He always seems to be sleeping beside you that's all & I can't remember. I hope Kes's mouth is a bit better today. Gotta feel sorry for them hey.

LL - I must try & give E some nappy-free time (has been getting nappy rash) but it is so cold here & we have no heater. Any suggestions? OMG Al LIKES going to the shops?? Let's swap lol.LOL Leggo Lamb -tasty!

AD - I so know what you mean ... but it's ok when they go out on their own to go fishing or whatever, they're all for it then! You are making me fume again lol.

EMMA - Lol "the cosmetics company" - not sure if i can say the name on here?? Mary ... Oh & men (rolly eyes!). Dh kept saying "you can't lay-buy sale items!!". Um YES YOU CAN!!! Just not clearance!!

Hello everyone,

Just checking in. Haven't read much as I have a friend arriving in 15 minutes, Leah is about to end her nap and I have washing to fold and my family is still here.

Not doing too badly. Still pooped. Tried leah on formula the other day to see if giving her a bottle every few nights will help her sleep through. First night she drank the bottle then threw up EVERYWHERE in her sleep. All over the wrap, blankets, cot and floor. It was quite impressive I must admit.

Yesterday I got DH to try her on a bottle while I was out to see if it would make any difference if she was up for a while afterwards or if the formula just doesn't agree with her and she screamed bloody murder for an hour till she got breastmilk so........ thinking the whole dream feed and filling the tummy thing may be a no-go. Oh well. Never mind.

My nephew is driving me a little nuts. He just sits playing his nintendo all day adn watching TV. I have a good friend comeing over who is due next weeka nd we need to finalise her birth plan stuff, eat a cake and watch a chick flick :D and hes going to be here. Its probably the last time I'll see her before her birth so I need to be able to get the business side done. My step father has gone to the shops and left me babysitting without asking me if its ok that he's here while shes over. Grrr. Family. :banghead:

Other than that though, alls good.

Ok, stuff to do. Hope everyone is well.

LT, hope you had a great night out on the town.

Lana o has just started to suck his thumb too..it’s so cute! I sucked my fingers and my teeth are fine. Oh and O only laughs for me too!

Shezi my hair is falling out too, I hate it1 I got a really bad haircut not long ago and I’m waiting for it to grow out..I dreamt that I shaved it off last nite!

Gin, O laughs the most when you tickle his feet, you should try it on Kes, see if you can get a giggle out of him!

M2B I’m sure O is saying mummmmm. How cute is it, can they really start talking this young?

Hi there.... I often come in here and have a read of things as DD was born in march... can anyone help me with swimming lessons? is it too early to go. We live on the water and I am keen to ensure Ellery is able to hold her breath (at least)... also, if anyone knows of good swimming schools on the gold coast? Hope everyone is well. Sounds like I am going through alot of what you are - hoping I can 'join' the chatter between you all. :)

we still have this stupid cold. so sick of blowing my nose. and i managed to lose my nose-ring coz it got caught on a tissue in the car and went flying!! Harper is getting better slowly, i think the demazin infant drops help. he loves when i do "de-de-demazin" to him, has a good chuckle.

oh talking of laughing, he was chuckling in his sleep the other night, was so cute. wonder what he was dreaming about?

Al's cooking me eggs on toast. i don't want him to go back to work! nearly every morning he gets up with H when he wakes up (usually 8ish) so i can stay in bed. next week will be a shock for this mummy...

Good luck with it and hope ot chat more to you soon

Jaimie~ on the prowl? yeah with one kidlet hanging off my boob and the other one on my leg very attractive!
BUT dont worry my sisters is already trying to set me up:eek:

Nemosmums how are the kids going with you guys seperating?? Is he still staying with you guys? Funny that your sisters are quick to set you up with someone...... :D

Welcome Melannh my DS started swimming lessons at 3 months so if you can find somewhere you can start now - I live in Nrth QLD so cant help you there.

Oh LL how cute is it when they laugh in their sleep!! Jacey has not done that but Logan used to all of the time. I got a cute video of the kids last night on webcam (to email my parents). Jacey was giggling at Logan for AGES, he was just doing his own thing and she thought he was so funny. We have to TRY and make her laugh where as she just find Logan funny when he is not even playing with her... too cute

Having a shopping day to myself on Wed - cant wait. Even getting my hair done too! The car has a service so I have 3 hours to myself and then get my hair cut in the arvo!! Wonder how much I can spend in that time. Going to go to BIGW and Kmart sales :D

Must run - Hey LT still waiting to hear how your night went?? Bummer about your alergic reaction though - hope its better now.

oh talking of laughing, he was chuckling in his sleep the other night, was so cute.
A did that too the other night.. its so adorable.. i just stood there listening with a grin like an idiot

omg sarah.. trying to set you up already?! geez give a girl a break! i'd be enjoying the peace & quiet! well as much as you can with 2 littlies anyway haha.

mel the new swimming instructor my girls have will only take 'over 2's' even tho she'll take D coz she's nearly 2 and swims quite well for her age.. anyway her reason is that any age under 2 you can do your own stuff at home in the bath. i agree with her BUT i reckon swimming lessons for babies are heaps of fun. anyway most the places over here take bubs from 6months after they've had their needles..

mustve been a good night hollie!! hehe

taryn A is the same with my girls.. they'll just walk past and look at her and she cracks up. its hilarious! M especially loves it. she says 'aalivyah loves me mummy' too cute!

sarah that play kitchen looks similar to the one in the toy catalogues.. its $150 now tho so if you got one for $90 thats a bargain!!
I hope Iris is feeling better.. M & D both have tonsillitis now! D started with a temp and it slowly got worse then last night she slept in our bed from midnight coz she was so warm.. chris said it was like sleeping with an electric blanket hehe. so now theyre both on panadol.. have a dr appt for D later today coz her tonsils are huge and disgusting. looks like she'll end up with hers out too.. but not till shes older.. way too little & she only averages 4bouts a year..

anna i cant believe leah slept through vomitting! what a champ hehe. its amazing how much comes up considering the size of their tummys hey! how old is your nephew? that would be so annoying with him just sitting around 24/7! enjoy the cake & movie :D

Lana.. that girl looks VERY similar to you! Not as pretty though.

Clubbing was very good, one aspect which I daren't not mention on here was a little disapointing but still had lots of fun. Music was great. Although I started a thread about the smoking ban and now you can smell all the massive disgusting farts people do when they are drunk or taking drugs.

Anna and any other Sydney girls, if you do ever want to cme out for a night out you are ore than welcome to join us.

Sarah those cakes were amazingly well done. Can you make me a gluten, dairy and egg free one?

Shezi, Frog keeps fiunding toad hairs around the house. He's very good at cleaning out the drain too for me, It freeks me out doing that.

Well well well, all these advanced talking walking (standing), rolling and teething babies. I bet they cant do a Jolly Jumper as well as My MONTY!!! (poor little slow developing toadlet). Although I did see him do butterfly for two laps of the pool today.

Melannh, welcome to our little chat group.
I took Monty toad swimming at 6 weeks, he is starting lessons next week, the pool we take him to starts them at 4 months. He loves the water and stays in for about half an hour. I dunk him 3 times and he doesnt cry at all.

I had a women with two children interogating me about wether I was breast or bottle feeding. When I told her he was on Soy she said. Are you sure thats ok? You shuld see your ECHN and was being quite critical about me not breastfeeding. On my way out we went to the cafe to grab a drink and she was sitting their shoving chips into her kids mouths....

LL

Probably the massive hole left in your nose from your absent nose ring. !!

Tadlet has been giggling heaps too, although the last two days he hasn't been hself. Very squealy (which is also a new thing). He is back to his usual rodent self today.

Hi girls, still feel like sh!t .. cold, upset tum ... yuck.

Sarah - Bud by design? What's that? That is too quick to be dating again, it would take me forever lol.

Anna - That's pretty cutting hey. What are the cute dummies you got? I need more of her fave TT ones as she has flattened them! LOL.

Jaimie - OMG you are tiny! The smallest I have ever been was 48kg & I wanna get down to that again. My friend weighed the same but was skin & bone but i still had a bit of chub on me iykwim. Anyhoo I thought u couldn't stop eating tim tams??

Mel - Ella is starting swimming Sept or Oct, prob Oct (min 6 mths where I am going). I am going to Schapland (sp?) Swim Schools & they have a few around, I think at Goldie too. Babies automatically hold their breath for short periods in water like instinct. Maybe do things like we do by tipping water over her face with a cup in the bath to get her used to getting her face wet or if she has showerd, put her whole head under quickly. That Laurie Laurrence teaches at Goldie too, they had something on The Shak about it so search him too. He starts from 3 or 4 mths i think.

Taryn - Have fun on Wed!! I need different hair I hate mine as only looks ok when straightened. It's so dry, frizzy & feral & in bad need of treatment & colour. Post a pic! Ella still isn't giggling, gurgling tho! Lay buys only need a $2 lay buy fee paid & that's it so you won't lose anything.

Hollie - What a cow. Yes I have always been known for my hair falling out & blocking the drains but it seemed to stop when prg but started as soon as i gave birth. i comb it & a handful comes out. prob why my hair so feral beral.

Wanna get E a JJ for christmas but will she be too old then? Must get her play mat off laybuy soon hey!

Ok must cruise, Neighbours time. Prob won't be on tomoz as funeral, Ella's physio, walk with SIL/bf then dinner for other SIL. Have a good night & good day tomoz chickies. xoxo

PS 2 more sleeps til Harry Potter 5 is at the movies!!! YAY!!! Sis & I are going Gold Class so can't wait!

Carrie I think she will nearly be too old for it by Xmas - my DS was runninf at 10months!! but an activity station are great!! When they are crawling etc if you need to go to the loo or hang out some washing you can put them in there and know they wont move - also great for outside when having parties/bbq etc. Jacey is in her station now and loves it - she loves playing with the toys and chewing on the teether things! Although if you are planning kids for the future you could still get one.

This is a link to target sale and on page 58 is the activity stations/JJ etc. No prices until Friday though!

Evening All

Well didn't end up go to the funeral as dear sister pulled out of paying for me to fly to Rocky. She decided to go clothes shopping instead. Didn't even worry about getting me a birthday present...oh well.

The Funeral went went as far as I've been told.

My younger sister Donna, that didn't go either and was going to be fired, got up today and headed for work but the traffic was terrible and she droved back to my place as she was going to be late for work. Needless to say when she rang work she was fired lol. But she rang the director of her work and he gave her another chance. I'm really worried for her as she's very depressed at the moment.

So yesterday I decied to have my birthday instead of today. I just to Sizzler with, Dh, Coop, Foster MIL and sisters. It was really stressful as no one is happy with what anyone else wants to do and I'm bending over backwards trying to please everyone. I was so tired and stressed last night I actually fell asleep as 8:30 and slept thur to 8am this morning I felt so good for it though.

I only got a present from my F,MIL as Dh is broke, Donna is broke, other sister is a b!tch and no one else remembered lol.

So today Donna and I just watch dvd's all day and then tonight we went down to the chemist as I had to get some formula and on the way home the orange light just turned red and Donna drove though it and of course a police car was coming the other way. So she end up with a $225 fine :o

Anyway hope everyone is good.

Sarah love the cake and cupcakes.

EMMA - Lol "the cosmetics company"
Oh yes that lol she hasn't sold anything except to me. And no MK isn't her main work, she works as a dispensary technician in a hospital pharmacy. Hope your felling better soon Carrie.

LT don't worry Cooper's not very advanced either. He's not even teething yet, (I don't think) and he's almost 1 mth older then the other bubbas lol.

just sent my mum a big email, she misses H heaps. so looking forward to going over there for xmas. she has a jeep now so we'll be about to go out and about. she is hoping to take us to this resort-y place with scuba diving etc for a couple of days. sounds mint!

LL - the renovations have started, so far we are happy with the Dale Alcock team - did you ever think about getting quotes for an extenison?
actually, we have someone coming today to give us a quote for just adding on a games room. it seems that doing a BIG extension like we planned will be more $$ than knocking down and rebuilding... (still want to get quotes tho).
but anyway, we thought that if we just enclose our garage then we could have a room to store our junk (freeing up bedroom3 for when kid2 comes along) and also a playroom area for Harps when he is crawling etc. so we'll see what they say. i just think we might be best off to add one room on, live here for another say 4 years then buy a new big house.
its hard, hey? with house prices. i don't want to go back to work for 3-ish years and even then, part time!

geez i am :ecomcity: :ecomcity: :ecomcity: today lol
bye!

Does anyone have a car bottle warmer?? Are they good or what brands would you recommend?? We are doing a big trip back to NSW and need one. Has anyone also done a BIG trip with a 5 month old?? We are thiking of driving through the night to make it easier on the kids. Do you think they wuld sleep OK upright for sooo long. Its a 17 hr trip. Thinking if we can do majority through the night then we wont have to stop as much or entertain the kids. Once they are awake we would have to stop every 2 hours to let them stretch!! I might post this question in the general section too.

LL - you are going to Dubai arnt you? I went last year - loved it - don't forget to go to the snow ski dome, do a sand dune tour, and go to the gold souk for cheap gold. they have some of the most fantastic shopping centres in dubai, as your folks have probably told you. oh, yeah and book a brekkie or lunch at the Burj - the massive hotel on the beach.

yes - renovation is costing us a fortune, and i still wont be happy with the house, i still always want to move, but i dont want to move further into the 'burbs. We are 7km from the city and i love going to Mt Lawley or Subi at the drop of a hat.
the retaining wall we had to put in cost $13 000, and the bedroom and bathroom another $90 000. they started knocking our study wall down today, and Alexander slept through the banging and crashing, compacting and grinding etc, what a little treasure!

Shezi - i love how you did the letters - gorgeous indeed!

Love the photos LL and the nappies are v. cute.

Hello Firsttime

Sarah I ordered that mag, shop 4 kids off the magshop site that you mentioned the other week and I received my copy yesterday. They have some lovely things in there, especially for girls.

So bored today had to find things to do. So I cleaned out Cooper's wardrobe and put away all the clothes that don't fit him anymore and rearranged this nursery.

Here's some photos that were taken of Cooper over the weekend.

Emma love the pics of Cooper! My faves are the last two!! He looks so much like his dad in that first one hey!
Thats great that he slept through so much noise. I think its really important to get them used to noise when they are babies, helps when they are older.

Sarah - poor little I being on Antibiotics, but at least she will start to feel better.

Taryn - no idea re the car bottle warmers.

LL - I love pyjama days!

Emma. Cooper is looking very adorable, how is his sitting up going? has he mastered it yet?
Toadlet is doing pull ups but no sit ups.

I wouldnt be happy about the plane ticket either.. not very thoughful at all.

Frog said he's quite ok for toadlet not to be developing like all othe other babies just as long as he keeps sleeping 13 hours a night.

Love the nappies LL. I wish I had ore time to make ore.. or another baby! What brand is the green one?
Greem is mu favourite volout too, nothing to do with frogs though.

Speaking of making babies. How is the immaculate conception going Emma? Caithi?? You bonking lots?

Firsttime.. Update your pic of Alexander@

Lana. toadlet knows how to stink a room out. We hang his bag of poop (wipes) outside the door so I thik most of the other apartments can smell it too.

Toadlet has also been having rice this week too, he doesnt seam to be overly impressed withit, even after 5 attempts. Just getting him used to the taste at the moment.

Get better to the sick baby girls.

Tazzy, I assume that since you need a bottle warmer you are bottle feeding?
Cant you take some boiler water in a thermos and fill up room temperature bottles with a little of the boiling water?

When ever you stop at a servo you can get the flask filled up again.

Shezi
it seems the majority of us are fighting with partners.. did yous all only have probs are bubs or is it more so magnified now do you reckon?? (sorry just me being nosey so feel free not to answer.. i just thought yous had perfect men.. maybe its just coz we spent our pregnancies discussing weird things our bodies were doing.. men werent thought about

Frog and I never faught and I would have to say our relationship was almost too perfect. The issue we have had has nothing to do with toadlet or our relationship,at all it actually began a couple of years ago.

Firsttime - yep, Dubai, can't wait to hit the shops!! better start saving.
well, we had the builder round. he gave us a quote which would remove our laundry and part of our bedroom but we would end up with new laundry+toilet, new master bedroom+study and also a HUGE games/family room with another room at the end for junk+sewing room. its $125k, do u think that is good for all that work?:detective: its not brick and tile, its the cladding stuff but looks so nice! i dont know if we can afford the extra on the mortgage, its quite a bit and i dont want to go back to work for 3ish years...

Hollie - the nappy is a berry plush (its over a baby beehinds, the berry plush insert is trimmer). green rules :D

Emma - love the pics of your blue eyed boy! very cute.

Thats what i do at work.. I have his bottles of water made up and just boil the kettle and fill it with a bit of hot water. Takes just as long as a microwave anyway.

Hollie are you teasing us on purpose!? I think nearly all of us are dying to know why you guys split, especially because (as you said) you had such a great relationship! So if it didnt work for you guys what hope do we have lol! (yep, that means we are all nosey!)

Mmmm hot dogs with cheese, onion, mustard and tomato sauce for dinner tonight! And i just finished baking an Apple and Cinnamon loaf :chef: .

Toadlet is doing pull ups but no sit ups.

He wants to sit up all the time even in his swing. But he's still not steady enough and falls over. He's getting there though. He tries to do sit ups all the time.

LOL. Well nothing has happened yet, we just going to take our time.

LL - it sounds ok, compared to my quote, but ours is brick and tile. get more quotes. i think you do pay more than when you build a new house, but you have to weigh up the value of staying in the suburb you are in, if that's why you are doing it. if you dont care about moving, then i'd move, i wouldnt do these additions if i could afford to get a bigger better place, in our suburb. iykwim.

personally i would rather sell this house and buy a bigger one but Al wants to keep it. he says we can rent it out and buy a 2nd house but the mortgage would be way too much, i don't want that much debt, no thanks!
i like this house and this street but i'm sure there are plenty of nice houses on there better suited for a growing family...

do you think she has enough shoes?
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p175/Shezi26/Asroom001Small.jpg
i think she has a great collection which started with M hehe. sad thing is half of them have never been worn coz they're for 'small feet' and my girls have wide feet with fat ankles lmao.. i blame pumpkin patch.. you buy them while preg coz theyre cute. not realising they wont fit..

Frog and I never faught and I would have to say our relationship was almost too perfect. The issue we have had has nothing to do with toadlet or our relationship,at all it actually began a couple of years ago.

sorry lt knew you & frog dont fight. very lucky there! chris & i dont really fight either.. he doesnt let me.. as soon as he says his piece he goes to bed  just curious for everyone whether their men have gone crazy post bub.
you know what.. when you said yous had split.. the first thing i thought was 'he's gay'! sorry but he is one hot guy and yous get along so well. definitely a rarity imo. it shouldnt be but it is.. most good looking guys are @ssholes. i hope he sorts himself out soon.

sarah hows Iris? i hope shes feeling better..

M didnt end up going to daycare today.. she started to get really whingy and sooky so i didnt bother.. shes still not 100%. so i took her and A to do food shopping. D stayed at mums and laid in her pram the whole time.. she's still pretty bad. i just want everyone in this house to be 100% again!! anyway after the shop M was eating a crunchie.. only thing she wanted.. big mistake coz half an hour later it came up. i was trying to put her jacket on at the time so i copped it on my hand and clothes.. couldve been worse tho!

love the pics of cooper!

ok i suck.. we never have dessert here.. well rarely anyway.. lana that apple & cinnamon loaf sounds yummy!

good luck with the house plans michaela.

shezi - in regard to relationship issues that we were talking about yesterday, my DH is good in so many ways and has embraced having a baby even tho this little baby was a suprise, but it's just things like this:

last weekend i told him that i had gone 3 nights and 3 days on my own (i know not a lot to you, but to me it was a first), when he was in Adelaide, and then i knew from this Monday morning i was on my own until late this Friday night, so i asked for some "time out" from baby, just a couple of hours, over the weekend that he was home in between his two trips.
Well do you think that would happen, he cant seem to do 2 things at once, cant supervise a playing baby whilst doing something around the house etc, so i just got ****ty and tended to the baby when he cried, needed feeding, needed nappy change etc.
I suppose i could have gone out, but i still wanted to be with them, just not the one running around after dummys, bibs, getting the toys out, mopping up spew etc. Just a couple of hours - you'd think i was asking for a cattle station!

anyway, it turned into an arguement and he told me i get my time out when i am watching TV feeding! OH MY GOD - it really started then!

so, you arent alone, i think some people - in life (not necessarily on this thread - we are all pretty open and honest) - but alot of people out there pretend everything is perfect, when i think most people have little ups and downs.
