Thought I would post this before I loose internet access altogether.

We are hoping for the next meet to be Friday 3rd Feb, about 2pm at the Beach House Playcentre in Osbourne Park.

Could you guys organise for a saturday next time for a meet up and that way i might be able to come down to perth on a friday night and then meet up with you all on the saturday. Don't change things for the this meet but maybe next time as id love to meet you all.

Preferably 2wks notice but we can come any weekend well as long as we have nothing planned as my dh has private use of his work car meaning free fuel which makes it easier. Have you had the dads come along so that the dads can make friends with their wifes and parteners friends?

Im sure most people will be up for another meet in Feb aswell.
I dont think we have had a Dad's meet. Im not sure if my DH would be up for that, maybe he would, Im not sure. I guess if some others were going he would go aswell. Mind you, I quite like having all my new friends and he has his new friends then we also have friends who were are both firends with. Does that make sense?? Like I wouldnt really want to go with his friends and play golf, so not sure if he would want to come with me to drink coffee and chat!!

Maybe we could have a Saturday lunch BBQ at the beach or something with partners. I think my DH would like to meet some other dads.

I dont think I really explained myself very well - sorry.
It would be good to meet every ones DH/DF 's a BBQ is a good idea.

My DP would come if there was no cricket on... but he wouldn't be able to go to a beach (unless it was an area that was hard eg grass)

But don't let that stop a beach idea, I'll just come along with Jade and he can stay home.

I think alot of the beaches we have been to have grassy areas which is good, then you dont get sand in your sausages on between your toes!!
Tne BBQ areas seem to be on the grass aswell, so that should be okay Tash?

I told dh about my idea and he was like ummm i will just drop you and the kids off. lol. Mim now that was a great idea. We will prob come to perth at the end of the month on a wkend or the 4th jan (is that a sat?)

Hi,
We would be in a Saturday meet. Don't know how keen my DP will be but he will come if I want him to. We had a lot of mums group BBQ's in Adelaide where partners came, he wasn't always keen to come but most of the time he liked it. And Mim's right it is soooo helpful to have them there to help with the kids.

I know what you mean Claire about having friends separately and in common :)

I was the same Tash! I even told a couple of people that it was at 10! :eek: I had to go back to them & tell them the right time!
My sister was going to come again, but she couldn't as she had an appointment in the morning! I will have to tell her the right time & see if she can make it.

Did I post the meeting at the wrong time??? Do u want to change to the morning?? I dont mind, I think we said pm so Mim could come but I havnt seen her round for ages....Mim??? u out there???? Dont worry, Ikea will still be there in the afternoon. I am a little worried about Aiden and his behaviour cause it is right in the middle of his normal sleeping time. I am going to try and put him down in the morning instead and it should be cool. As long as I let him run about he should be happy enough I am just worried about not being able to chat properly cause I will be running after him but I guess most of us will be the same.

You didn't post the wrong time at all Claire! I just assumed it was morning and had planned my day around that.. totally my fault for not reading the first post properly!

Isn't the centre one of those, 'let 'em run around they'll be fine' kind of things? (I've never been there) otherwise, we can run around with you and chat as we go :D (I, for one, could do witht he extra exercise :o )

I'm still here! I haven't been feeling all that brilliant lately, I'm on 'safe' antibiotics for a stye that tried to take over my whole eye and they haven't completely agreed with me...... Anyway, if you want to change the meet to the morning, that's cool. I can always make the next one. Let me know :)

I just saw this thread now!!!! :(

I had a shocker of a night with Maya, i think she has decided to become nocturnal and stay that way or something so i wouldnt have been up for coming anyway even if i had read this and planned to come! grr....Hope i can eventually meet you all sometime soon!

I start a full time uni placement (basically unpaid full time work) from Feb 20th til end of June so i wont have heaps of free time but weekends and wednesdays i have free :)

I dont have many mummy friends who are around my age so id love to meet some more and have some lil friends for Maya! :D
