hello:wave:
Hoping someone could help me.. i'm interested in being a registered nurse.
however i have no idea where to start.. do i need to have completed years 11&12 ?
Just hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

It depends on a lot of things.
Your age, are you still young or considered a mature age?????
Your knowledge, do you have any prior nursing knowledge. You have to sit a pre test if you are a mature aged student????????
Your experience, have you had any experience????????
Where you plan to study, all uni's have different anrty requrements, best to call the uni of your choice and ask what they are?????
But go for it girl...Ive been a nurse for 10 years, love and can get a job anywhere....and I mean anywhere

It helps to have completed your HSC, but if your mature age you can apply using your experience. I applied as a mature age student by using work experience, certificates completed and did a STAT test. If you want more information maybe contact the Nurses registration board, local universities, the health government sites such as NSW health. They all can give you further information on where to go.
