stinky microfibre

hi just wondering if any one else has had this problem and what they did.

all my synthetic nappies ie BG aio and totbots microfibre are smelling putrid. no other nappies smell just those.

Any thoughts?:confused:

I had an AIO that just reeked.

I handwashed it in hot water with some washing powder. then rinsed rinsed rinsed in hot water. Then I added a cupful of white vinegar and swooshed it around in that for 5 mins or so... then rinsed rinsed rinsed in hot again... and hung in the sun.

It smells beeeeyoooodiful now :D

I was going to suggest a vinegar rinse (don't put anything with PUL in that though) and then a sunbake :cool:

The PUL doesn't like vingegar.. it can wear it away.

(but personally, I don't think that one wash would ruin your PUL.. especially if you don't leave the nappy in the vinegar for ages....)

But if it's just the microfibre inserts you're having 'smell issues' with, then you don't have to worry about PUL!
