On the maybe list: April - girl & Adam - boy

My Faves (DH not too keen):
Charlotte, Alita, Lindsay (girl), Gracelyn, Ruby, Ella
Harrison, James, Mitchell, Nicholas, Thomas, James, William

What do you think of - Ephraim ?

Love the name "Ella" and all the boys names are great too (my fav is Mitchell).

Not so sure about "Ephraim" - sounds a bit like a blood thinning drug (sorry)...

umm sorry .. I dont like Ephraim either.... I do love the other names on your list though... .maybe DH just needs more convincing!!!! (note- he will give oyu ANYTHING when you are in labour :D so dont panic if you are still convincing him at the last minute! )

Of the girls' names i like April and Ruby the best! Just beautiful! April is so feminine and can't really be shortened. Ruby makes me think of that song Ruby Tuesday, and it is such a beautiful stone (one of my faves).

Not super keen on any of the boys' names just because they are so popular. Mitchell and Harrison sound like surnames and not a big fan of surnames for first names (i'm strange I know!). Ephraim doesn't do it for me either for some reason. Would probably pick Adam or James out of that lot though if I had to. James is on our list actually (DH likes it)! Why are boys' names so much harder!?!?!?!?!?!?!.

I know, Boys names are really hard. What's the go?

Ephraim was just a name that I've heard recently - not really on my list - just thought I'd put it out there, you never know, someone might like it :)

I really like Gracelyn, Ruby and Ella (my fave being Ruby!!)Nicholas and Harrison are my faves from your boys names.What about Alena, an alternative to Alita if dp doesn't like it?????good luck!!!

THat is very true - our second daughter has a name I decided on during labour - we went in with a different name that I didn't really like and DH did and half way through a very intense labour I insisted that we change her name and made him swear to it - and even when I gave him the option of changing his mind after she was born he stayed with my labour induced choice!;) :D (Didn't plan it that way but it worked out well!)

I LOVE Lindsay for a girl (as you can see, i like the different 'stronger' girls names...), and Ella too, its so timeless.....

For boys, my fave would have to be Harrison, then Mitchell.

Not a fan of Ephraim either sorry.....:o Good Luck! :D

I've got a feeling that this will be what it comes to...:rolleyes: I'm liking April more and more. I might get DH to sit down and look at this thread with me tonight. He needs some inspiration :D I'll keep you all posted of the next list we come up with.....:p

my Db wants April as our Daughters middle name and I want Faith still deciding :D

April & Ella are very pretty... Not to keen on the others. I used to like Charlotte but every second baby girl these days seem to be Charlotte or Madelaine - JMO!!

Hi again everyone - Thankyou all so much for your input. My DH & I sat down again on Australia Day and nutted out some names and have completely changed our mind but are FINALLY agreeing on some names:

Girl: Annalise Kate
Boy: Joshua David

What do you think? I'm not 100% on Joshua as I hear it everywhere (too common) But it's some progress at least :D

Yes, this worked for me too! :D After a 22hour labour which ended in an emergency c/s, when the Ob handed DS1 to me I turned to DH and said what name will we use and he said (all wide-eyed and emotional) "You choose"! :)

From your choices, I like April or James. Not too sure on Ephraim, is it pronounced any special way?
