Need Help! Entertainment suggestions??

Hi! :wave: I'm going a little crazy!:banghead:

My 5 month old is so hard to keep entertained... every activity she does only amuses her for about 15 minutes ie. playing on floor mat with toys, jolly jumper, dvd/tv, walk in pram. When she gets sick of something she just starts SCREAMING and then it takes ages to be able to calm her down

I'm really running out of ides for things to do, she has three sleeps a day but only for an hour at a time, so is awake for 2-2and1/2 hours at a time and its so hard to fill all that time for her!

I was just wondering what you all do with your babies, or if you have any ideas for me that would be great.

Whats worse is i'm newly a single mum, so it's just me me me all day and i think she is sick of me! But i know no one with kids, so she sees no other babies, and all my friends and family work all day and then she is in bed by 7! :gloomy:

What about joining a playgroup?

Sorry I don't have any other suggestions that you have already said. It seems you do lots of things anyway. Maybe she just wants you to be around her all the time.

I agree with Bibs - Playgroup could be the way to go.
It's only an hour or 2 a week but I find it really helps break down the daily grind.

OR, if you have a library near you that lends toys out, you could take her to play there for awhile? And then you could borrow some toys so that she's not so bored with what she has?

Also, take her around the house with you when you're doing housework or whatever, she could just need a change of scenery :yes:
