Is it possible not to ovulate

According to my FF chart (link below) no O has been detected as yet. It was forcasted for cycle day 18. The interpretation says it "may" have occured between cycle day 12 and 14, but I have no temp rise to confirm. I had a fertile patch from cycle day 9-14.

All temps are taken at the same time every morning and I try to record as much info as possible. I have read though that once you come off the pill it could take a bit to get back to normal. I was on the pill for about 11-12 years and came off around March last year so I think I should be "normal" by now to O don't you think?

I have only started charting at the beginning of this month.

Hi bambino, I am sorry I am not helpful with charting I have never done it! Have you considered trying a OPK for a cycle see what happens with the kits? Sorry I can't be more helpful

Hey Shaz - well I have just O'd (as I'm sure you know :D ) and I was 6 days late. I was expecting to O on cd12 and today is cd18.

I am positive it has to do with stress from last weekends wonderful events (kicking out junkie housemate). Have you been through anything stressful lately? Its amazing what it can do to your body.

It makes me chuck up, throws AF out of whack and makes my hair fall out and go grey.

Hey Ally....oh you make me laugh, your too funny.

I'm not under any real stress since I don't do much at work or anything :p but I am hell bent on getting a BFP some time soon. That's all I ever seem to think about. Maybe I am thinking about it too much

I will keep charting anyway and see what happens with my next cycle chart.

Mwah? Funny? Well that must be why people laugh at me so

In all honesty (dead serious) stress makes my hair fall out! It is coming out in clumps at the moment! 21 years old and I'm gonna be bald by the time I'm 30!

I know how you feel about reaching that BFP. I am so desperate for one myself - that is why I am STOKED that DH is home tonight!

I have never charted temps or watched cm changes etc. I only use OPK's. I know its slack (and a little pricey - 7 for $20) but it is the easiest way for me. Soon as I see the double line, hey presto, I know whats going on inside.

Each time I have fallen pregnant I have conceived after getting a positive OPK. Definitely try them - they're worth it!

Well it sounds like worth a try....I'm off to do the banking for work so I may pop in to the chemist and pick one up.

They sound a bit more accurate at least.

Well now your DH is home and at the right time too yeeha ;)

Think of the bright side of having no hair.....no bed hair, no need to buy shampoo, no knots to brush out.....nah just kidding. Maybe we both need to chill out and let nature take it's course. Or you can buy a wig LOL.

Wig  Please no!!! Hehehe....

I usually get mine from Coles or Woolies. the chemist is usually heaps more expensive (5 for $40) but coles have the Fortel brand (7 for $20). Much easier on the purse!!!

Hi Karentrolley.....it looks to me you may have O'd on day 56. But I am sure there is someone around who can confirm it.

I don't have that extra day of high temps to confirm mine but it looks like you have.

I am going to try OPK anyway just to see where I am up to and if I need to, correct my chart.

Have fun this weekend Ally!!! We've all got our fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

Hey Karen, I just noticed you live in Stanhope Gardens, I'm just up the road in Kellyville Ridge, small world aye!!:)
I had a look at you chart, temps look a little confusing to me but apparently you're meant to rely more on your CM than temps and hopefully OPK+ was right!! Maybe you'll be having a busy weekend too!!!

Denise xx

I will stop at woolie's on the way home. The chemist near work didn't have any. I think their dodgy people.

But I will definatley let you know once I have. With a more positive answer there will be no escape for DH :D

Ally have you ever been tested for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome? Even more so since you have suffered from ectopic pregnancies.

Bambino I just bought some OPK's off ebay too, very cheap! vs very expensive chemists.

I was told that you don't ovulate every month

bambino

Hi O&B Mummy....I would believe that now as I think I didn't this month and I don't think it will since AF is due next week. My charting temps don't seem to be picking up O and I haven't noticed anything different down there IYKWIM :o

JATS

Some people O every month, some don't, some people ovulate more than once each month, or twice every second month, everyone's different!

dylansmummy

Really some people O more than once a month? I have never heard that, I guess I just assumed it was once a month ... mmmm.. guess I will use all of the OPK I bought in Feb

It does not seem possible to me that someone could ovulate more then once a cycle. Your body and your hormones are just not built to do that.

I don't ovulate every month, though i seem to be quite sensitive to sickness and stress, which stops me ovulating. Very annoying!

Well I have just entered my temps for today in my chart....and NOW it tells me that I O'd on CD21. Which means I am now 4 DPO.

Have I missed the boat for conception chances this month or is now a really good time to BD ?

brideofjabba
25-01-2006, 15:35
ummm nope. You need to bd before or on the day of ovulation. Althought we bd the morning after and got preggers so i'd do that too just in case! lol 4 dpo is too late though. Sorry :(
