My baby keeps grinding his teeth together.

He has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom.

Has your bub done this?

Any tips on how to get him to stop?

DS did the same thing at that age. I didnt do anything to get him to stop. After reading your post I have just realised he hasnt done it for ages. (he is now 1). I couldnt stand the sound but just figured it wont go on for long. Sorry im no help

That's what I figured. He will just grow out of it.

I just hope his milk teeth don't crack in the meantime.

Matilda did the same. I actually found that the more I told her not to or gave her attention when she did it. .the more she did it .. so I ignored it and its a rare sound these days!

My son does it and I hate it!
He has perfect teeth BUT i know someone who did that in there sleep and now the teeth are ****

reminds me i'll have to ask the dentist what can be done about it as it wrecks their teeth, they grind them down to nubs ewww yuk!

My son used to grind his too. I think when he was around 9 months old too. He's kinda stop doing it now, Only once in a while..I used to just tap (not slap, tap) my finger on his cheek (remind you, very very gently..) or distract his attention with something else when he was doing it really bad, like when i could hear it from the kitchen..lol..But yeah they'll grow out of it i think..

Just wanted to let you all know that most babies do it. Its a part of getting used to these new things they have in their mouths!! It is perfectly normal and most will grow out of it. My DD did it for a couple of months and has never done it again.

That is good to know.

My other boys have perfect teeth and never did this and I was beginning to worry that Mason's teeth would be worn away.
