Hi there,
I have had headaches and stiff neck on and off for about 2 weeks now and the other day i found that i have had low BP.The doctor said that this might have been the cause and i also searched on the net about low BP and some of the symptoms is what ive had.My question is had anyone had low BP related headaches and stiff neck?

Good Morning,

I used to suffer from Low BP when I was in my teens and as a result suffered from frequent headaches!! But I can't remember having a stiff neck from them. Sounds like an obvious question but could muscle strain also be causing your headache?

Do you get dizzy too? Because that is another thing from low BP that I suffered from frequently?

I read somewhere else on BubHub that headaches are common in pregnancy. I went through the last month or so of having them everyday, so I got my BP checked to make sure it was okay, it was.

So maybe its just a prego thing?

Have a nice day,

Headaches is a sympton of pregnancy. My worst headaches were around 13-16 weeks, I still get them, but not quite as bad. I just know though atm my neck is out, which is bringing them back now.

Hi Ladies,

I was just reading all your 'headaches posts' and was wondering, those of you whom have had really bad headaches (worse than a normal ache) do/have you taken anything to ease the pain, ie, panadol? I know the Doctor and Chemist say it is safe to take in pregnancy, but just wanted to know what others have done. I get them really bad, to the point of migraine. I am 11 weeks pregnant. I'd appreciate any advice, THANKS in advance!

Hi uniquey
My ob said that panadol is perfectly safe and can also be taken with codeine (panadeine or panadeine forte) the thing that is not reccommended on taking is Ibuprofen(anti inflamitory) with codeine i wouldnt take it more than a week because you can get an opiet headache makes it worse than it already is.:)
Hope this helps if you have any more questions just ask you chemist they are all trained and have a little booklet that says what is safe to take in pregnancy.

Hi Jaclyn&Serena,

Thanks so much for your help, I feel much more at ease now, if/when I take Panadol:)

Take care,
