A few articles on the website www.crimelibrary.com (http://www.crimelibrary.com) about the seemingly ever-growing trend of teachers thinking that it's a good idea to have sexual intercourse with their students:

I also possess and have read a book about the Mary Kay Letourneau case: If Loving You Is Wrong by Gregg Olsen.

I had an incident as a child. A teacher was obsessed with me, if her classroom was walking down the hallway and mine just happened to be as well, she'd stop her class and run over to me, pick me up and cuddle me, then invite me over to her house, say she would drive me there after school.

I was continuously pulled out of class because of this teacher and she'd write me letters and buy me presents.
It kind of sounds cool, and funny, but it was weird and I was only six and it made me incredibly uncomfortable. I remember coming home from school everyday and telling my Mum the things she did and I remember saying, "Miss** is really annoying!".

My Teacher sussed it out one day as I told her I didn't like leaving class all the time to see this teacher and there was a school meeting at the teacher was confronted and I never saw her again.

I'm not saying she was a threat but now that I think about it, it really was a big issue. I'm glad it was handled professionally as I was obviously too little to understand.

I will be weary of that sort of treatment with my kids.
