It all started on tuesday the 12th june which was my original due date. I was admitted for my induction and at about 10 pm i had my first lot of gels put on and went to sleep only to be woken by cramping. Waited patiently until 4 am and had another lot.
At about 11.30 got moved to the delivery suite and told the doctor was on his way to see how i was progressing.
When he got there at 12 he walked straight in and told me it was about to happen and i had my waters broken.
Puffed away on the gas like a trooper and was surprised that it didn't do anything for the pain but was more something to concentrate on.
To my surprise i started having contractions straight away and then the fun part came when they put the drip in!!!
I waited patiently for the anathesiast to arrive with my epidural cause my high BP they didn't wanna risk it.
At about 8.00 they checked on me and i was told that i was only 5cm and i may have to have a c-section.
Epidural was wearing off and i was told that when i had a contraction to push.
1 and a half hours later doctor came to check and i was fully dilated!!! But still had to be moved to OR just in case i needed the caeser. So at 10:02pm Wednesday 13th June 2007 litttle Charlotte was born by ventouse, weighing 6lbs 3oz and 49cm long. I have nothing but positive things to say about my labour experience and couldn't be happier with my little princess.
:hugs:
