What a relief it was when my little girl slept for 4 hours straight over the weekend both on Saturday and on Sunday. At 7 weeks things are starting to improve. Here I was jumping to conclusions thinking she had colic, reflux etc due to problems late in the afternoons. I knew this time would come but didnt think it would come this soon :)

And I just found your other thread about the witching hours too
Glad to hear things have settled.

:smiliedance: Its great when they sleep and settle better.
Skye has been sleeping and settling better too, I have been watching out for her tired signs it makes it so much easier.
She is usually unsettled after her 7pm feed and wont go to sleep but last night she was in her bassinett at 8pmish and slept from then until 11pm, had another feed and nappy change in bed again just before midnight then slept til 5.30am. Some nights she will sleep from 12am (after dream feed) straight through til morning (7.30-8am) other nights she'll wake up anywhere between 3am and 5amish.

Thanks Perth_Pony and everyone else. Yes Sarah gets swaddled now every nap time and if it wasnt for my child health nurse telling me to put her to sleep after an hour and a half I would have been in big trouble! Originally we tried keeping her awake to sleep longer later!! Totally backfired!! Yes the tired signs are very important. Its funny now how things are so much easier as time goes by. I look forward to meeting other mums to be just to give them some advice on whats expected. Thanks bub hubbers :)
It was good to read this as sienna is 6 weeks and we have the same problems.. hopefully 7 will be better
