Just wondering if anyone has heard of using Pearl Cream for eczema?? I went to my local pharmacy on Friday to have a prescription filled for a mild steriod cream for my 13 month old son who in the last six weeks has developed a horrible rash all over his face. After spending a small fortune on all the "magic" creams we went to the doctor who took one look at him and said he has Infantile Eczema.
Anyway, the pharmasist told me about his 2 year old daughter who had really bad eczema, they had tried everything, even been to a number of speacialists. He then got hold of some Professor W Zhu's Traditional Chinese PEARL CREAM and has never looked back. Her eczema has almost completely gone.
Knowing that I was a bit hesitant in using the steriod cream he gave me a small sample and asked that I try it for two days. I put some on his face as soon as I got home about 2pm. My husband arrived home about 5pm and said WOW bubbas face looks fantastic, it was amazing the difference in such a short time.
Today his face looks so good and he is so much happier. I went back to the chemist and bought a small tub probably about 90ml it cost $40 but I figure if it continues to work the money is well worth it.
Just had a bit of a look on the internet but couldnt really find much information about it.
Anyway fingers crossed I have found my solution :)

I'd be interested in hearing more too, but every 'miracle' cream for eczema has plenty of testimonials on their websites and I'm more than just a little skeptical of these sorts of creams -I sometimes think they write their own testimonials. The other thing is that eczema is a little like DNA - everyone's is a little different, so what works for one, might not work for another.
Maybe if you could post some before and after photos - that would be great.

Does anyone know where I can find pearl cream in melbourne? Elecon works well for my 3yo daughter but I prefer not to use it if I don't have to and most of the time its not too bad anyway. I've asked at a couple of Chinese supermarkets and get blank looks.... Also asked in a health food shop and they recommended I eliminate wheat and dairy (as they are the most common intolerances) for a couple of weeks and see if it makes a difference. So I've just started that too.

Annabella, the best thing to do would be to get a referral to a paediatric dermatologist and find out the triggers and then avoid them. Don't waste your money on creams and trial diets. I spent a few years doing this before it got so bad, physically for DD and financially for me, and discovered her triggers and can now avoid them and her eczema is better.

I just wanted to this thread as my DS has suffered with mild eczema from 4 months old. Had is quite bad on the tips of his shoulders, on his cheeks and chest and some on his scalp, also under his chin (this was really hard to control due to dribble etc). We tried every cream possible including cortisone 1% which worked to keep the flare ups under control but would return if we stopped it. I managed to get some of the pearl cream mentioned in the original post in this thread and we haven't looked back. I am not joking in saying that the eczema under his chin was gone within 2 days of just using the sample. I was stunned at how quickly it worked and how smooth his skin is now. I know it is $40 a tub which is a lot but I would of paid $440 if it worked half as well as it has. I can highly recommend anyone give it a go.

Hi Elliemac,
I live in Tasmania and I got it from a Chemist in a city called Kingston at a Pharmacy there. They are the only place in the whole of Tasmania that I know of that sells it and they even have calls from people on the mainland asking them to post them some. The name of the pharmacy is Fullife Edwards Pharmacy. Shop 13 Channel Court, Freeman Street, Kingston, TAS 7050. Ph: (03) 6229 7775. I hope this helps you. I was SO very happy with the results that we achieved. It is a marvelous cream.

I agree Chellegoth...we spent over 2 yrs trying all kinds of steroid and non prescription creams to find they work for a few weeks then nothing. Once their skin gets used to it it stops working which is a pain.
I have started watching what she eats and it seems to have calmed down a lot.
My daughter had it very bad almost raw skin behind her knees, in her elbows and patches on her legs, arms, back and chest.
her back is clear now and there is only a bit now and then in the other places.
Definitely look at diet first, cause food triggers are very tricky to cure with cream.

Hi, Can you please look on the back of your pearl cream container and get any information you can for me. I am always looking for herbal healing remedies for my organic store in Victoria and would be interested in stocking this.
I have so many people coming in and asking for treatments for eczema.

We did do this. I had allergy testing done also and have been dairy free as I am breasfeeding and this has helped as well.

I know this question is old but just incase anyone stumbles across it, it would be worth it. I am 21, also had eczema my whole life and have gone through the helplessness of trying everything on the shelf but having nothing work or maybe just temporarily.
One day I was trying to find some more natural things, (so many things are loaded with petroleum or mineral oils which are drying) and went to the body shop.
One of the workers recommended I try a pearl cream which her niece used with success. I was extremely sceptical but I thought to give it a shot as it was at least natural.
It was definately unlike any product I have ever used. I have now been using it for the last 3.5 years and it has greatly improved my quality of life.
It has been unavailable for the last half year or so but there is a new website that now stocks it at www.pearlcreams.com
feel free to ask any questions.

hey chicken and eggs mum. full life wont stock it as yet as the medical centre just reopened today. but worth a try i guess. i was harrasing them for a bit to see when they would open and they said they would text me as soon as it reopened. if you are in sydney then in chinatown u can get it for sure..they open everyday 9-5, not sunday though.
it is very expensive to use as a general moisturiser though, what elso do you use for the body and legs? i just tried the moogoo stuff...allergic to it and it does not moisturise for long. also trying the new cetaphil skin restoring body moisturiser, not bad so far.

Is it the same people or different people. The herbalist before was good.
Cheers
Hi PMTrong,
Can you tell me if the pearl cream you get from the Chinese Medical and Natural therapy centre is the Professor Zhu Pearl cream?
I know that moorebank fullife has been out of it since last year.

Yes, it definately is. It just does not come with the product label on it. I have bought one from Fulllife as well and it is exactly the same.

Whats in it? My little man's skin has flared up and he is going insane with itchiness, especially on his face and head :( Just had bub to the GP today and he prescribed Elocon.
I'm reluctant to use it as I much prefer natural remedies where possible, but obviously I can't let bub be in so much distress.

It has been unavailable for the last half year or so as the practice underwent new ownership but is now available at 392-394 Sussex St, Sydney phone number(02) 9261 8863. They use to be trading under Chinese Medical and herbal centre of sydney but
are now called city chinese medical and natural therapy centre.
The pearl creams are only available via consultation though at $25 a pop plus whatever
consultation fees. Othwerwise you can get them from Fullife Moorebank pharmacy for about
$40 which comes with a label.
But yeh, for the last 2 weeks i was out of my supply and i felt the desperation and helplessness
I have bought so many useless products in the last week and i hope this info can help people out.
feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you soooo much for posting this. I have called them today and put in my order as Fulllife Moorebank the people who originally stocked it are not legally able to sell it anymore as the labelling does not comply with AUS standards. They do stock it it's just illegal for them to sell it.
I am hoping this is the miracle cure my son needs as I have tried everything medically possible & naturally possible...
I cannot wait till it comes this week!!!!

To save time looking just get it posted to you! 9261 8863 they take your credit card over the phone and will post it down to you...
I have two little ones and heading into the city would be impossible with them so even though I'm not that far away I still am getting mine posted... They where $35 a pot + postage.
To the mums wondering if the Pearl Cream works in babies and children, I can say that it has worked overnight on both my boys. My first son had a very bad case if eczama and when I applied the cream it cleared up within hours. My second baby was born this year and I have used it on him with the same results. It is natural and I would and have recommended it to othe mothers.
Mum of 2 - I most certainly hope it works overnight here too, I'm stalking my mailman and hoping it arrive today or tomorrow as it got posted yesterday!
Cannot wait!
I am also trialing hazelwood & magnesium salts which are also acidity regulators of the skin to see if this will work...

Would someone who has a pot mind posting a pic of the jar? I wouldn't mind trying some and it would be great to see exactly what I'm looking for.

my uncle used it on my baby cousin since she was born. I laughed at him at the time trying random cream, but now my newborn has a similar thing (call it karma).
My uncle said he went to the herbal place in sydney and it doesnt look very trustworthy. They people there couldnt even tell him what was in it. He said it looked the same, but they couldnt tell him what was in it, out of desperation bought 3 jars. 1 jar helped and 2 jars didnt.
I am desperate, but really dont want to put anything on my childs face if I dont know what is in it. Does it work all the time?
