I'm not married, but what is a kitchen tea? Is this the same as a Hens night or different? Never heard that before.

Hi your kitchen tea is where you have all your girlfriends and family members come over for bassically an afternoon tea.. cakes and nibblys and maybe a few glases of wine and some games and they bring you a pressy for your kitchen/or something for you.. Its a way for your friends to help with getting you started for your married life...

Oh right! I've only ever heard of a Hens Night. Is it common to have a Kitchen Tea?

It's a nice idea though, I think I'd rather have my bridesmaids and MILs and Irene around for a brunch on the day of my wedding. Thanks for the idea!

I probably wouldn't have a Kitchen Tea simply on the basis that I already have everything for my kitchen.

Don't forget to tell us how your's goes!

They also call it a bridal shower!! i alreay have everything as well but there is a few auntys that cant make it to my hens day (Day at the races so we all frock up and wear a hat and then out after that) so i have decided to have the kichen tea so they can attend that... my sister is organising it and is having it that everyone brings something for ME not the kitchen as i have everything and it has to be something tha starts with the first letter of your name For example my name Kylie so i would bring Kahlua or or something that starts with a K... just a little bit of fun for the day with games like a questionair with questions that everyone has to answer like my fav colour, my date of birth, how i met my DH2be etc... the person with the most right gets a prize...
