Terms & Conditions

  1. Information on prizes and how to enter form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
  2. The Promoters are Poppet Group Pty Ltd, PO Box 216, Camperdown NSW 1450, ABN 93 120 831 021; and The Bub Hub Pty Ltd, Ascot Qld 4007, ABN 47 098 888 567 ("Promoters").
  3. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who are 18 years or older ("Eligible Entrants") except for directors, employees and immediate families of the Promoters, associated companies and agencies.

To Enter

  1. The competition commences on August 19 2009 at 9:01am (AEST) and entries close on November 16 2009 at 11:59pm (AEDST) with last entry received ("Promotion Period").
  2. To enter, all entrants must fully complete the online form that can be found by clicking on the Big Treasure Hunt link at bubhub.com.au, and correctly answer five questions about issue 14 (Spring) of My Child and another five about the Bub Hub parenting website. All entrants must also respond to the following question: In 25 words or less, explain which feature you liked best or would like to see in My Child or on bubhub.com.au.
  3. The best five valid entries, as determined by the judges, will each win a $250 Babybuds gift voucher and $50 bouquet; an Aromababy prize pack including Pure Baby wash, Pure Baby moisture cream, Aromawipes, barrier balm, bath gel, pure hair cleanse, Stretched to the Limit cream, natural floral water, natural baby sponge, moisturising nappy change cream, massage oil, massage baby with love book, pure cotton playwear bodysuit, pure cotton playwear romper, pure cotton playwear nightie, pure cotton playwear pant, organic cotton playwear sleeveless top and nappy pant set, pure rainwater cleansing bar and an organic aromabath powder worth $350; a Bambini Pronto gift voucher worth $300; an Icon Health prize pack including a Diana dream electric breast pump, Grow milk storage bags, Grow breast shield kit, three 150ml baby bottles, three 250ml baby bottles and three Grow teethers valued at over $282; a Minimink prize pack including a baby rug, faux fur hangers, journal and album set, teddy bear, organic velour rug and bootees valued at $279.15; a Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair from Exquira worth $349.95; an ERGObaby Carrier package from Babes In Arms including an organic ERGObaby carrier, an organic infant insert, a backpack, a front pouch, a suck pad and a doll carrier worth $483; a Pea Pods prize pack worth $364; a Finnigan Finn fashion pack worth $400; a Chicco Lite Way stroller worth $299.95; a Uneik Jewellery voucher worth $340; and a Bright Bots nursery pack consisting of a quilt cover, nappy stacker, flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillowcase, blanket and a nappy bag valued at $275. Total maximum prize value is AUD$20,118.75 based on the recommended retail value at the time of printing.
  4. We reserve the right to change the specifics of the prize as required. The value of the prize will remain the same as the prize originally offered.
  5. Chance plays no part in determining the Prize Winners. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  6. By selecting the two boxes on the entry coupon at bubhub.com.au, you are confirming that you'd like to be added to the respective My Child and/or Bub Hub mailing lists.

Prize Winners

  1. The overall Big Treasure Hunt Prize Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoters at the offices of My Child magazine in the week commencing November 23 2009. Eligible Entrants will be judged based on their ability to correctly answer the five questions about the Spring issue of My Child magazine, as well as the five questions about the Bub Hub parenting website. All entrants must also respond to the following question: In 25 words or less, explain which feature you liked best or would like to see in My Child or on bubhub.com.au.
  2. The Prize Winners will be notified by email within 24 hours of the judges' decision.
  3. The prizes will be sent approximately six weeks after the offer closes on November 16 2009.

General

  1. The Promoters reserve the right (subject to applicable law) to award the prize to the next best valid entry, as determined by the judges, should the Prize Winners be unable to satisfy these promotion terms and conditions, forfeit their prize or fail to claim their prize within 48 hours of being notified that they are the winner.
  2. All taxes which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the prize(s) are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the Prize Winners.
  3. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. No modifications or exchanges will be possible and prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
  4. The prize packs can only be redeemed by the recipients named the Prize Winners (unless they are unable to fulfill their duties, in which case the prize will be given to the next best valid entry).
  5. The Promoters reserve the right to announce or publish the Prize Winners' names and photograph(s) for publicity purposes.
  6. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, and may not be combined with any other voucher or offer. All components of the prize must be taken together.
  7. The judges' decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the Prize Winners. No correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The Promoters, their related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss, and loss arising from negligence) suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion, the promotion of this promotion, or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  9. Prize Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
  10. The Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged in transit.
  11. The Promoters assume no responsibility for, and the entrant releases the Promoters from responsibility for, any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property (including computer systems and servers) as a result of the entrant's participation in this promotion or the conduct of the promotion generally or as a direct or indirect result of entrant's error, any technical problem of any kind including communications or network failure, unauthorised access to, tampering or theft of data, whether caused by the entrant or associated with the equipment or programming used in the conduct of this promotion. If, because of any such problem, this promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the promotion's administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected, the Promoters may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant regulatory body, and subject to applicable law) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or disqualify any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the promotion.
  12. All entries become the property of the Promoters. The name and photograph of the entrants and Prize Winners may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoters. Entrants consent to the Promoters using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes. Without limiting the foregoing, entrants' personal information provided in connection with this promotion will be handled in accordance with the Promoters' Privacy Statement, a copy of which is available at mychildmagazine.com.au and bubhub.com.au.
  13. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoters' control, the Promoters may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  14. The Promoters do not accept any responsibility for any unforeseeable delays of this prize.
  15. By entering the competition, and by collecting a prize, the Prize Winners acknowledge and accept that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Prize Winners, for themselves and their executors, release the Promoter, its agents, officers and employees, from any and all legal claims in connection with any death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses arising from or connected with the collection or enjoyment of the prize.
  16. By accepting the Prize, the Prize Winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Prize, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the Prize and the Prize Winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Prize Winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.
