  1. Information on prizes and how to enter form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
  2. The Promoters are Poppet Group Pty Ltd, PO Box 216, Camperdown NSW 1450, ABN 93 120 831 021 and The Bub Hub Pty Ltd, Ascot, Qld, ACN 098 888 567 ("Promoters").
  3. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who are 18 years or older ("Eligible Entrants") except for directors, employees and immediate families of the Promoters, associated companies and agencies.

  4. This part of the competition commences on November 24 2008 at 9:01am (AEDST) and entries close on February 22 2009 at 11:59 (AEDST) with last entry received ("Promotion Period").
  5. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who have a baby between the age of six months to 18 months as of March 19 2009.
  6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must enter via the official competition online entry form on bubhub.com.au
  7. To be eligible to enter, all entrants must include the unique code located in, and proof of purchase of, the Summer 2008/2009 issue of My Child magazine, as well as all the details required in the online entry form. If you have subscribed to this issue you do not require proof of purchase.
  8. The best valid entry, as determined by the judges, will be featured on the front cover of My Child magazine's Winter 2009 issue (on sale May 20), on the home page of bubhub.com.au over the same three-month time period, and be the face of the Marquise Summer 2009 and Essentials range
  9. The best valid entry, as determined by the judges, will also win a Marquise gift pack valued at $500; win return flights and transfers to Sydney from within Australia for two adults and two children, worth a maximum value of $5,242; win two nights accommodation for two adults and two children at The Marque Hotel on the dates of April 17 and 18 2009, including dinner on the Saturday night up to a maximum value of $200 plus breakfast each day, total value $1,000 (the winner must also be free to travel to Sydney for the photo shoot on an alternative date of 24 and 25 April 2009 if required); win an Apivita baby care pack, including Mild Shampoo, Relaxing Bath and Balsam Cream, valued at $65; and win a two-year subscription to My Child magazine, valued at $53.70. Total maximum prize value is AUD$6,860.70 based on the recommended retail value at the time of printing.
  10. A random selection of entries will be published in the 2009 issue of My Child magazine and on My Child's website and The Bub Hub's website.
  11. We reserve the right to change the specifics of the prize as required. The value of the prize will remain the same as the prize originally offered.
  12. All voters with an email address (and who are not already Bub Hub website members) will be invited to sign-up for our monthly eNewsletter.

  13. To vote, Eligible Voters must vote via the official competition online voting form on bubhub.com.au. To be eligible all voters must also include the unique code located in the Autumn 2009 issue of My Child magazine, as well as all the details required in the online voting form. Proof of purchase of the Autumn edition of My Child is also required unless you are a current subscriber to this issue.
  14. Only one online vote is allowed but each vote can nominate up to three entrants.
  15. The best valid voting entry, as determined by the judges, will win a Stokke Sleepi/Mini & Draperod, plus a Stokke Care Table, valued at $2,639.85; a Marquise gift pack, valued at $300; an Apivita baby care pack, including Mild Shampoo, Relaxing Bath and Balsam Cream, valued at $65; and win a two-year subscription to My Child magazine, valued at $53.70. Total maximum prize value is A$3,058.55 based on the recommended retail value at the time of printing.
  16. Chance plays no part in determining the voting winner.
  17. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  18. We reserve the right to change the specifics of the prize as required. The value of the prize will remain the same as the prize originally offered.

    19. coverstar finalists

  19. The best nine finalists, as chosen by the Eligible Voters, will be selected on March 26 2009 from the highest number of votes made by the Eligible Voters. The finalists will be notified by email on March 26 2009.
  20. The finalists will be required to email three additional current photos of their child and proof of responsibility for the child by April 1 2009 to be eligible to be selected to win the coverstar competition.
  21. The nine finalists as chosen by the Eligible Voters will each receive a prize pack, including: BoscoBear removable Room Art Kit, growth chart and personalised labels set, valued at $182.90; selection of Little Innoscents organic baby products, valued at $99.70; Kalamazoo Kidz gift voucher valued at $30; Boredom Busters gift voucher valued at $30; and a one-year subscription to My Child valued at $30. Total prize pack value is $372.60.
  22. Chance plays no part in determining the finalists.
  23. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  24. We reserve the right to change the specifics of the prize as required. The value of the prize will remain the same as the prize originally offered.

    25. overall coverstar winner

  25. The overall Coverstar winner will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoters at My Child magazine on April 2 2009 commencing at 11am (AEDST). The overall winner will be selected from the nine finalists' photographs as judged by the Eligible Voters, and will be judged based on style and appearance of the photographs. This element of the competition is based on individual skill and appearance and chance plays no part in selecting the overall winner.
  26. The winners will be notified by email within 24 hours of the judges' decision.
  27. The overall winner will be required to be available on Saturday April 18 from 9am to 5pm for the photographic shoot. If required, this shoot may change to two half-day shoots with the first on Saturday April 18 at a time to be advised and the second on Sunday April 19 at a time to be advised. A maximum of 10 shots will be taken.
  28. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, and at the approval of the Promoters, the prize cannot be taken on the weekend of April 17 to 19, the photographic shoot will take place on Saturday April 25 from 9am to 5pm. If required, this shoot may change to two half-day shoots with the first on Saturday April 25 at a time to be advised and the second on Sunday April 26 at a time to be advised. A maximum of 10 shots will be taken.
  29. The parent(s) of the winning baby will be required to sign a talent release to give permission for the photographs to be used on a professional basis.
  30. The images for the Face of Marquise Summer 2009 collection including the Marquise Essentials Range will be used by Marquise for all promotional material including media mail-outs to all print media, in-store point of sale, the Marquise website and press releases. Images will not be used for paid advertising - if this should arise a separate fee will be negotiated with the winning baby's parents and photographer. Images will be used by Marquise for 12 months duration only.

  31. The Promoters reserve the right (subject to applicable law) to award the prize to the next best valid entry, as determined by the judges, should the winner be unable to satisfy these promotion terms and conditions, forfeit their prize or fail to claim their prize within 72 hours of being notified that they are the winner.
  32. All taxes (excluding GST and taxes included in the price of the tickets) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the prize(s) are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any additional costs such as travel insurance, meals, drinks, purchases, spending money, medical costs, incidentals, hotel ancillary costs (laundry, room service, mini bar, hotel damages, etc), transfers other than those stated and any additional accommodation are the responsibility of the winner. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner.
  33. If the prize or any part of the prize is not utilised within this period it, or the relevant part, will be forfeited. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. No modifications or exchanges will be possible and prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
  34. All travel is subject to availability at the time of booking. The prize can only be redeemed by the recipient named the winner (unless they are unable to fulfil their duties, in which case the prize will be given to the next best valid entry) and their nominated travel companions. The winner and their nominated travel companions must travel together on the same flights on all sectors and carry appropriate identification. The winner and their travel companions will not accrue Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel or accommodation.
  35. Any alterations to confirmed accommodation details will be at the expense of the prize winner.
  36. Accommodation at The Marque Hotel must be taken in its entirety.
  37. The Promoters reserve the right to announce or publish the winner's, finalists' and winning voter's name(s) and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes.
  38. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, and may not be combined with any other voucher or offer. All components of the prize must be taken together.
  39. The judges' decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. No correspondence will be entered into.
  40. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoters then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
  41. The Promoters reserve the right to request verification of age, identity and residential address of the winner. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoters, whose decision is final.
  42. The Promoters, My Child magazine and The Bub Hub, their related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss, and loss arising from negligence) suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  43. Prize winners are advised that Tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
  44. The Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged in transit.
  45. The Promoters assume no responsibility for, and the entrant releases the Promoters from responsibility for, any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property (including computer systems and servers) as a result of the entrant's participation in this promotion or the conduct of the promotion generally or as a direct or indirect result of entrant's error, any technical problem of any kind including communications or network failure, unauthorised access to, tampering or theft of data, whether caused by the entrant or associated with the equipment or programming used in the conduct of this promotion. If, because of any such problem, this promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the promotion's administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected, the Promoters may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant regulatory body, and subject to applicable law) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or disqualify any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the promotion.
  46. All entries become the property of the Promoters. The name and photograph of the entrants and winners will be used for promotional purposes by the Promoters. Entrants consent to the Promoters using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes. All entries will be entered into the My Child Magazine and The Bub Hub databases and, subject to applicable law, the Promoter may use the winners' names and addresses for future promotional and marketing purposes. Without limiting the foregoing, entrants' personal information provided in connection with this promotion will be handled in accordance with the Promoters' Privacy Statement, a copy of which is available at mychildmagazine.com.au and bubhub.com.au.
  47. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoters' control, the Promoters may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  48. The Promoters do not accept any responsibility for missed flights, lost baggage, or unforeseeable changes in flights, accommodation, or any other part of this prize.
  49. By entering the competition, and by collecting a prize, the winners acknowledge and accept that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The winners, for themselves and their executors, releases the Promoter, its agents, officers and employees, from any and all legal claims in connection with any death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses arising from or connected with the collection or enjoyment of the prize. Where the prize involves driving or travel, before being eligible to collect a prize, all winners under 18 years old must provide to the Promoter proof of age and the full name, address and telephone number of the winner's parent /legal guardian. Before a winner is eligible to collect a prize, the parent /legal guardian will be required to sign a release, in terms of the release given by the winner above. The release will also require the winner's parent /legal guardian to accept responsibility for the acts and forbearances of the winner. Failure to provide such proof, particulars or releases will immediately invalidate the winner's entitlement to the prize. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  50. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Prize, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the Prize and the Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
  51. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.
